I need a new picture taking strategy. I have a reaaalllly good one on my phone, but the resolution is tiny.Still from Into the Wild. Like the movie. Love the man. ADORE the book. Must read. My favorite
I might change the photo, so it looks better. but this will do for now.
I'm going to start my portfolio finally
This will not be a part of it.

this is AMAZING! seen the film like about... 10 MILLION TIMES! and it still manages to make me cry like a child. and omg theres a book!? i didnt realise there was a BOOK! i shall have to buy that with his beautiful little face in mind

The expression mixed with the trees in the background moves me, and gives me the feeling of aloneness, like a great internal conflict is occuring.

Wow, that's deep :3 Yeah, he is definitely alone. It's at a point in his story when he is completely braving "the wild" by himself, but he's less conflicted and more excited/anxious, because it's the beginning of this new journey. It's hard to explain, but you were close!

I also love the story, I have read the book, seen the movie, and listen almost daily to the soundtrack made by Eddie Vedder

Yes Into the wild is far by the best movie I've seen, and the book just had a lot of "whoa" moments for me, its so coowl to read what kind of man Christopher was. I'm thinking about painting the picture you drew, currently I'm working on several paintings of landscapes but also portraits and this would be a nice picture to try.

Yeah, the commonality of it is interesting, but somehow not surprising. The courage they havve to brave such conditions is awesome, although they probably don't think much of it

yes that would have been nice, I also wish I could have met him, just to see what kind of ideas he had in mind, and I also wonder what would have happened if he didn't die. But that is something we will never know...

Yeah, to know just what he truly thought about the world and society, not just assumptions from his choice in literature or his notes. Maybe if he didn't die, he might not have been so famous, and we wouldn't even know about him. It's hard to say, and speculate...
