Editorial Illustration on what it means to be American. From all my research there is no real answer with the exception of the overuse of the word "free." which just states because we are American we can do whatever we want.also, this was done Pre-Obama, otherwise it would be much more patriotic.

I never said anything about Clinton. I simply implied that I despise the Bush administration.
I know what patriotism is supposed to mean, but many people have come to think that patriotism and xenophobia are the same thing.
I think free means different things to different people, but I was referring to the freedoms guaranteed to U.S. citizens in the Constitution.

Thats another thing. The U.S. is selfish enough to claim rights over the word "American" even though it crosses two continents and covers quite a bit of countries.

The common mistake when researching America and what it means to be American, is that for the past 30 to 50 years, socialists have infiltrated the schools at all levels and turned our children into mindless, selfish, weak willed, gimme gimme, can't do anything for ourselves, crap.

This was a really hard project. I thought the concept was boring and the images coming out of it are cliche. To come up with something like this took a lot of effort and now I'm happy with how it can be taken in so many ways.
