Description
As the wind begins to blow and the search is about to end, something catches his eye. After hours of searching this is it... The most glorious apple he has ever seen right in his grasp. The apple shines as though divinity has embraced it itself. Finally the moment has come, one bite will take him to the gates of paradise and beyond, a state of euphoric bliss unknown to the most magnificent of wonders.This took so long! I'm guessing over 15 hours, and over a period of 2 weeks. I learned so much from doing this piece and hope to implement my learnings in furture practices. The first hill alone has about 8 layers @_@

I really like this. All the colours you've used look wonderful. I especially like the blue sky, and clouds surrounding the trees and hills. The detail in this is great.

It has that "childrens book illustration feel" yet it has some more feeling than the average illustration. Lot's of little details like the wings and halo on the apple, and the patterns on the tree trunk, make it more interesting too look at and "discover" the picture. The colouring is very lifely and i really like the traditional look.

This is very beautiful. The whole painting is so bright and full of life. I love the textures, especially on the tree and the shinyness of the apple in the lower right corner. And the clouds? Simply lovely. Not to mention the adorable penguin.
