Introducing FrivolousFox, aka Frivvi, aka Lauren, of Twitch/YouTube fame!For the uninitiated, ASMR stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response, which refers to a pleasurable "tingling" sensation induced by particular aural or visual "triggers", such as tapping, hair brushing, or hand movements, to name a few. Those who experience this sensation describe it as a highly effective method of stress-relief and relaxation, which is the primary goal of ASMR.
Though many of the techniques date back thousands of years, the emergence of the World Wide Web (and YouTube in particular) has given rise to a thriving community of self-styled "ASMRtists" who offer their services at little or no cost to anyone in need of a little peace (or a cure for insomnia!).
