Nice work using flats like that, know how much of a pain they can be but you pulled them off nicely. Invisible trampoline ftw.

I think working with flats is okay. To be honest, it's the only way I can color without completely embarrassing myself, haha. The trampoline is somewhere below the girl, floating in empty space!

The flowers are my favorite. They look realistic and they add to the general cheery feel of the pic. Did you look at reference pictures or have you just drawn flowers a lot before?

Thanks! I like the flowers as well. My boss at work had a bunch of flowers in a jar so I just sat there drawing them until I could do it without looking at them.

I'm down to do more sketch field trips during the summer. I was thinking about maybe drawing at the pier or the mall or something like this, but this might be boring for other people.
So yea, Jason is in basic training right now. I talked to him yesterday and he was in Missouri getting ready to board a bus. So he'll be in basic training for 8 weeks, I think, which is a crazy thought. I think he'll be in Missouri for 10 weeks and then he'll be stationed in Seal Beach thereafter. I think he'll be working with chemicals or something...
