Second entry for 's contest. I also created a short comic to complement this piece.Spoilers as usual up ahead.
I chose these particular muttations from the final book Mockingjay as I saw them as the most terryfing mutattion that approached Katniss up front. They were able to break her guard with their screams and the smell of blood with Roses. I decided to choose the scene where she looks down, from this particular angle in order to not focus on Finnick's death but focus on the terror of these creatures as you see them from afar tearing bodies. After reading the passage that leads up to the death, I really do believe Katniss had the chance to save Finnick if she wasn't dazed by the muttations.

Woah this is just how I imagined these mutations to look exceapt i full imagined of them added to this piece of art they were standing on two legs, snake like tounges and black stripes. Yeah I agree they were the most terryfing mutattion as you said they can scream and the smell of blood & Roses but also didn't they say inbetween their sceams in a hissing like sound 'katnissss' Well that what i remember/imagine anyhow.
This is an beautiful piece of Art in a scary way of corse its going right to my favourites
