New York Model Sarah Montclaire [link] left me a message on my myspace page [link] asking me if would like do a picture for her website...Naturally I took up the challenge, and this is what I came up with
...Sadly it may never go up on her site, as she is having trouble getting enough artists on the project she had in mind
... Anyhoo I know it's been a while since i uploaded anything "Finished"... I'd love to here what you guys think

Thanks... The legs were especially difficult, because I didn't have any good full-body shots on her website...
I had to base them on someone elses, and tweek them (with her guidance) so that they look like hers...
It's hard drawing a picture of someone you've never met before

IT was especially difficult for me as this was my first digital paining based on a real person... I've done pencil shades pictures, but never anything fully coloured...
The women in my art are usually made-up

that is awsome that they all come out of yoru head! most of my pictures come from various references.

I use references, just to make sure that the poses and facial features come out correctly...
But I rarely do an exact copy of a photograph... Even this one was changed a little

.. hey, i dont know if her page is broken on just my machine or what (like your MySpace was) but can you note me her email, only some of the pages work. I think coz its a Flash based site

Well she asked me to do a full body portrait of her (which was kinda difficult since she didn't send me any references to work from, and pretty much all of the pictures on her site are from waist-up)...
She had planned to get a number of artists to do their own rendition of her, to put onto her website...
She didn't ask for anything specific... I just ran my ideas past her and she okayed them...
