Just another quick random doodle that turned into a quickly painted pic. One thing that turned out differently was that he does look a lot younger then my previous pics of him.As always, painted in Adobe Photoshop.

Yes, he looks young... and vulnerable. You have the most esquisite expressions on your Drizzt drawings! And no one beats your coloring.

This is probably what he looked like the first time he even felt rain drops on his skin. x3 He was something like fourty around there, I believe, but I'm not sure. I haven't read any books with him in them in awhile. Damned young for an elf.

I just have to say that I absolutely LOVE your Drizzt paintings. I only picked up the series last year but instantly fell in love with it, although I was never too enthusiastic about the way that they drew him, he always seemed too harsh. But you capture the way that I always saw him, elegant and smooth, and his eyes! I love his eyes, they're amazing

Don't worry that he looks young. The ol` fart looking Drow are a pet pieve of mine. People have a way of drawing Drizzt and other Drow like they look to be a healthy 80 year old.
They're elves! Elves are supposed to look young, even at 500 years, they are supposed to look like they are in their twenties, or maybe thirties. I've never understood why all the artwork (especially the more vintage fantasy art) depicts Drow looking so aged!
So, I say: GOOD JOB! Paint him (and other drow) as young! It's a refreshing change to what elves (even dark elves) are supposed to be!

This is simply beautiful - how on earth do you get his hair looking so sleek? I always find the brushes make the individual strands look too thick, but you don't seem to have that problem.

The hair just takes time. I had to redo it over and over till I was happy with it. I also zoom in a bit and use around a 4-7px brush.

It is really nice, but I can't help feeling you made him look a bit too feminine... Should his jawline be stronger or something or other... I dunno, I'm not too great at faces lol!
