This is just some fun w/ the Amazon B4 I release tha BIG ONE later 2 day hopefully! Pray 4 me yall!This is meant 2 "poke fun" @ every1's OVERreaction 2 tha way our Dragon's Crown has chosen 2 represent the(possibly real)Amazon race+something of a repeat error N "fear" by tha writers!
Some have gone as far as 2 petition her removal from tha game/others have gone as far as wanting tha game itself removed/they should B shot, LOL!! Nah really, they all fail 2 realize that it's this kind of stylization that makes tha game unique & whether it enhances the game's atmosphere & appeal 4 U OR if U simply(2 B BLUNT)wanna "fap" 2 this then "It Should B Us Doin That & Not Them Doin This & Puttin Us Through This/That & The Other" I always say! This is proly what slowed down tha game's production; totally not jokin here! I should also mention that our fair Sorceress has been targeted 4 evaluation/removal as well!
There have been plenty inescapable "entertainments" constantly on tha Tube that I didn't wanna hear about & while I would wish they had toned down the advertising, I never wished 4 it 2 B removed altogether Bcuz I knew there were people that actually liked this kind of thing! I'll give a slight example, I was a teen when Jurassic Park was all tha rage but I didn't get tha feel 4 it that every1 else got! Mostly cuz I had 0.1% interest N dinosaurs @ all and even that was quickly destroyed by tha movie's "rampage" Bcuz it all felt like "it(Steven Spielberg)was telling me 2 B interested N dinosaurs Bcuz of this movie & Bcuz that's how every1 else WILL feel as well" & while it's not impossible 4 a movie 2 suddenly peak interest N people that had 0%(even less than me)2 start w/...I wasn't gonna let tha movie do that 2 me! That movie's success also semi meant tha demise of other movies I was interested N @ tha time Bcuz I knew I was/am interested N movies like Last Action Hero! I also tend 2 not think differently of people that like something that I possibly hate 2 death; it's always something like "I!!! CAN'T!!! STAND!!! THIS @#$%&!!! I don't know who could possibly find anything good about this!!(is it someone I know...don't U know it, then I'm like)Oh U like this!? Well have fun" no harm no foul!
Well I suppose that's more than enough exposition so have at it my people, haters find somewhere else 2 vent UR bubblin hatred of all unconvential-okay I'm done this time!

You're not doing so great to represent your cause or your affiliation actually by going off tha deep end like that over such a minor comment!
I understand tha troubling message that entertainment can instill in the subconscious of its viewers in regards to female portrayals but this PSA(if you'll allow me to stroke my ego...and nothing else)is directed solely at the Amazon and nothing else in tha game! The Amazon here works like a female version of male heroes that were also near naked in their stories such as Conan or He-Man AND she has impressive musculature to boot!
Admittedly what ruins this(that I didn't include in my summation because I wanted to focus on the negative attention the Amazon was getting)is tha game's willingness to still indulge in displays/themes of sexy women in varying degrees of weakness n bondage! Entertainment should expand to include men(sexy or hot)in varying degrees of exposure/mortal danger to deter tha constant theme of infallibility instilled in society so males don't grow up thinking they have to be tha hero everytime and at least there's nothing wrong with being saved by someone but especially by a female!

Really, to be a historical Amazon, she should dress in a knee length dress.Β Also if she were to wear a "battlekini", we should see a large scar on the right side of her chest as Amazons according to legend would have the right breast removed.

Meh I really liked the game... Which I admit is kind of sad because even if I find its content and portrayal women to be rather offensive, and I'm usually not that of a prune.
I still, I played it with my girlfriend and still enjoyed it^^

No not sad itself. I'm just being somewhat sarcastic. I usually am the type of guy who would prefer if women's attire didn't look so uhm unapologetically blatant in its sexual displays, but I suppose that's just the way the gaming industry works, besides its a lot of fun.

Well it's always been my perception that the "unapologetically blatant sexual displays" were among the other things that were meant to be satirical commentary and just plain ridiculous but tha hyper-sexualization(of their women mostly)stands out tha most because it's just something that constantly catches our attention as people over EVERY OTHER THING that we could possibly see in anything we look at!
BUT
It's great that you can look past any purely cosmetic concerns you have with tha game and focus on tha gameplay at large! It's kinda like how everyone thought DOA X-Treme Beach Volleyball was nothing more than basic "fap material" aaaand...while it certainly doesn't stray away from being..that, it's gameplay(and sequel)do well enough to stand alone as sports/simulation titles though they could benefit from some fixing in tha major gameplay areas! I also wouldn't mind if some of tha men from tha main series(aside from Zack who owns...Zack Island)made an appearance in this side series even as playable characters!

Yeah, trust me, I do generally like complaining about those things unless I find it VERY offensive. Believe me, not to talk down to Feminist or anything but the last person I'd want to hang out with are those "Tumblr Feminazi's" that take every bit of fan service on the web and complain about it like it's a fucking genocide to women of culture. They have the right to say it so I guess I can't stop them as well as they could stop me from speaking (I LIKE WAFFLES!) but it can sure be a hell of an annoyance... But they have rights.
I read comic books and video games, too forms of media highly criticized by the feminist movement, and I can understand.Β
So admittedly my whole reasons for being a little crasp on hyper-sexualization are for more selfish reasons so I don't have to listen to... The noise.

On a lighter note, I played the game and really enjoyed it. Amazon's my favorite character but I guess do have weird fetish for strong and empowering women with strength that could man-handle me... Er... I said too much.

It's actually they that don't understand that we don't really need their permission to like what we like AND to have em in our video games or any other medium we choose! It's only out of kindness & peace that we try to have em understand our side! Another thing they claim is that she is(along with tha Sorceress)a sexist character because she's wearing so little to cover herself...without realizing tha double standard they have for when men are underdressed yet women have to be covered at ALL times or else it's just fanservice..plain & simple!

No Sweat also I've heard of Lucia Morgan but was never into Final Fight save for tha fact that I heard it kinda inspired Sega to create tha Streets of Rage series which has become tha "flagship" series that comes to mind when I think of classic side-scrolling fun AND another popular topic of debate for another time!

I've been looking at this whole game, and it's pretty much fan candy. I just don't get how they can fight with the lack of clothing. I do love that they added muscles to her, because it never happens in the gaming industry. I think I just have mixed feelings about it.

That's actually a more positive attitude than most have had so I have to say it's not tha wrong 1 to have! If for nothing else than you seem to not really approve of less clothing(where more clothing would be more sensible but make little difference in real life)but you're not letting that ruin your perspective of the overall game! My main mission with this motivational is a mix between what you see+tha fact that no one seems to notice how ridiculous tha male characters are as well and how underdressed 1 is as well BUT that's actually been going on for years in history as well as media!

You know, I really hate when people exclude sexualization of males. Let's face it: everyone gets sexualized.Β
The females probably should have a bit more armour to protect their soft spots, but the males should also have more armour for protection, but this is a typical thing to have in RPGs.Β
I haven't played the game, so I can't judge books by their covers. I bet it's pretty alright for an RPG.Β
I know about the media! Man, some people can be such dolts if they don't research. Sexualization has been decreasing in some markets, while raising in others, but sexualization has always been a marketing tool. Pretty much, no matter what perspective you take about the media's sexualization, it happens to both genders.Β

Some have actually countered tha sexualized male argument with a position that since these males are targeted towards males with these games that they aren't sexualized so much as they are a reflection of what the average male gamer wants to see themselves as BUT since I've started this 'crusade of sorts' I've also learned 2 key things:
1. People have told me there are actually as many sexy male interactive games as there are sexy female interactive games where a female gamer(or anyone playing tha game really)can interact with an effeminate-looking male to much higher degrees of perverseness than allowed in games like these that are more well-known and targeted towards male gamers!
