Wonderful color palette! It gives a neon-feel and really brings me back to the 90s (which was an incredible time). You paid such a great homage to the Playstation system with some of her best games and greatest hits, and you did it with flair and style. Keep up the great work, Keith!

Β I'd like to know what inspired you to do this kind of style and color theme.

Thank you so much! That's such a really nice comment, it means a lot to me!Β

Honestly, I couldn't tell you what specifically inspired me - the image kinda just popped into my head fully formed which never happens for me. I always gotta finesse a concept out of a tonne of rough sketches. I guess I wanted to capture my childhood - specifically my bedroom floor in the 90s which was littered with all of these titles and more (more Tomb Raider especially!!) Plus I liked the idea of drawing an item in detail which is something I never really do. I mostly focus on characters so the simple but defined shapes of a playstation console was appealing. As for the colour scheme, I'm trying to train myself and also experiment in colour theory. Originally this was just the three primary colours, red, blue and yellow. But I thought it was too harsh so I added gradients to soften it and I think that's what gave it the kick it needed. I think the purple between the blues and reds and the oranges between the red and yellows made it more welcoming I think. I'm going through this process with my art where I'm trying to reign my colour choices in a bit and think more carefully about them.Β
