It looks magical with the sun like it is, and the brick walkway.  Those beautiful flowers; trumpet flowers? A wonderful atmosphere here.  So serene.  It makes one want to be able to step into the photo.

I was waiting for a hummer to show up and visit the penstemons....no takers, so I took the photo without their assistance.

Ah, I wasn't able to discern the size of the flowers.  I thought they were trumpet flowers.  Are they Red Ridinghood penstemons?  They are a lovely flower.

It's so beautiful that I just can't find the words, the place is amazing!
And the light that is trying to pass through the arch! is an excellent frame

Thank you!  When I lived there, I used to like hanging around by that gate: there always seemed to be something happening there.  I remember that when I took that picture I had waited for a long time, hoping that a hummingbird would come over and visit the flowers. But they refused to cooperate and after a while I realized that it was beautiful enough as it was.  Perhaps the hummingbirds realized that and wanted me to take the picture without their help!

You have so many wonderful stories in your sleeve,  I see it as I sit and listen to you while having a cup of tea on the veranda of this garden, thank you so much, it means a lot to me

And while we have tea, we will have to remember to bring treats for the birds too!   And because it is a magic garden, we can understand what they have to say!  The jays will laugh and talk about how they annoy the neighbor's cat; the hummingbirds will talk about how a hawk (in far away Canada) lets them build their nests in her tree so that they can raise their kids safe from the crows and magpies.  Maybe a squirrel will visit and tell tales of a legendary ad fabulous  stash of nuts that was lost and is still out there, somewhere, just waiting for a lucky squirrel to find it!
