Fourth and final Halloween ad for my novel which can be found HERE.

(A little late on posting this, I know.)

At this point, I was kinda running low on ideas. I didn't want to do something overly elaborate, because an ad should directly communicate its message. Getting too fancy can muddy the message and defeat the purpose. I was planning on going with another idea, but something about it didn't work. I can't quite remember what the idea I was, which is probably a testament to how forgettable it was. Eventually, it came down to me just rummaging through my photos until I found something I liked and playing around it, just having fun.

Shockingly, I think the idea came out really well and captured, or at least somewhat captures, the feel of old, 1970's horror movie teaser posters. It's simple, direct, and a bit memorable. Is it the greatest ad ever created? No, but then again, it doesn't need to be.
