I tried to make some elements in the original image a bit stronger like darken the eyes and emphasize the white haze

A good friend of mine, Ashkan, is from Iran. He's living in Belgium now for about 5 years. He told me the nicest things of your country. Apparently, the media does not provide us the complete - and thus incorrect - image of your country.
When he married here in Belgium, I was invited to this event. A part of his family came over from Iran, together with flavours of the Mesopotamian culture. We danced and laughed all together and ate the most wonderful food

Well, I am a little bit familiar with Iranian culture
It has always intrigued me a lot because of the rich history your culture has.
On the other hand, since I've never been in Iran (or any other country in the region), it is hard for me to imagine how daily live is going over there...
Perhaps one day ...

Besides, it is always interesting to hear the story of the viewer because it often makes me look at elements in my work from another perspective

Regarding paintng textures: it is mainly a matter of coincidence and daring. If you gain experience, you'll succeed in controlling the factor 'coincidence' or at least guide this factor while making a painting...

Ik zou het je beter gewoon kunnen uitleggen, dat weet je hé
Zo neerschrijven is altijd iets moeilijker om duidelijk te maken wat ik nu echt wil zeggen.
Maar ik denk wel dat je mij verstaat hé... je spreekt toch wel mijn 'taal'
Als ik er verder op doordenk, zou ik het volgende zeggen : misschien is het wel iemand die zich gelukkig wil voordoen (dat is dus het hoofd in de wolken) maar de ogen vertellen andere verhalen...
