(Reader POV)

"Dave!" I exclaimed. He was hovering over me, his hands beside my head on both sides and his legs on either side of mine. How exactly did this happen? I'm not even sure myself.

~Flashback~

"Ahhh finally!" I stretched my arms as Dave and I walked inside the apartment.

"I am so sick of having such boring classes. I swear, it's like teachers have it out for us. As if giving us homework every day wasn't already torture, right Dave? ... Dave?" I looked around for the blond haired boy.

"Dave I swear if you try to scare me with one of your brother's weird smuppets I'm going to do some sort of acrobatic fucking pirouette off the handle." He does this anytime I'm at his place. You'd think I'd be used to it but how do you get used to so much plush rump just jutting out and... ugh. Dave hates them too but he wouldn't hesitate to scare me.

Insufferable prick.

"Dave, come on! We need to work on our homework if we want to watch a movie later! I'm not getting yelled at again for not finishing my assignment!" No answer still. I sighed.

"Oh forget it. Might as well just start it now." I headed over to the living room and sat down on the couch, grabbing my books out of my bag. Right as I pulled my textbook out, I saw a small piece of folded paper fall out. I picked it up, not remembering what it was. I opened it and felt my cheeks burn. It had a heart with the name "Dave Strider" written in the middle. It was my writing. I forget when I wrote it but I must have had it sitting in my bag the whole time.

Yes, I ended up doing the most stereotypical thing in the book: falling in love with your best friend. I hate that kind of thing but it ended up happening to me. Oh how Dave would love the irony in this. If only he knew.

I quickly put the paper away where no one would find it, especially Dave. It wouldn't really matter much if he saw it though. He has a girlfriend. I think her name was Jade? Either way she's really pretty and they make such a good couple.

"(Y/n). " Startled, I looked over to the voice coming to my right only to meet a big yellow plush rump right in my face.

"UGH! DAVE YOU ASSHO—" I moved back instinctively, my arms trying to get the stupid smuppet out of my face. Losing my balance, I ended up falling off the couch and landing on my side with a thud. I rolled over onto my back. My eyes had shut right on impact. I could hear Dave laughing the whole time.

Then everything fell unexpectedly silent. I felt a very small breath moving down my neck causing me to shiver slightly. I opened my eyes slowly only to meet swirling red eyes making my breath hitch.

"D-Dave?"

And so here we are, laying on the ground. I stared into Dave's deep red eyes, unable to tear them away. I could feel my face slowly burning up from the realization of everything that happened.

"G-gonna get off me anytime soon?" I stuttered.

"I'm pretty comfortable here." He smirked. I rolled my eyes.

"Very funny Strider. Get off me."

"No way."

"Dave. Off." I glared at him.

"But if I get off you, I can't do this." My eyes widened as Dave pressed his lips against mine. What is he doing though? He has a girlfriend!! I pushed on his chest to get him off me and succeeded.

"W-what are you doing?!" I would have yelled that if I wasn't dying for air and was a blushing, stuttering mess.

"I know you like me." He smirked.

"Of course I like you. In a platonic way." Nice cover (Y/n). Real nice.

"No, I'm pretty sure it's more than a platonic way." The two of us stared into each other's eyes.

"Your eyes can't lie to me (Y/n)." I turned away again. I felt a sort of anger surging through me. How dare he play with my feelings like this?!

"So what if I do?! You have a girlfriend! My feelings shouldn't mean anything to you! I mean I'm just your friend but Jade... Jade gets to call you hers." My voice turned into a whisper at the last part. What was I saying? I thought I settled my feelings and decided to not let the jealousy take over me. What the hell (Y/n)! Good going!! You just lost your best friend and crush. I turned away trying to hide the tears that were welling up in my eyes.

"(Y/n)... Jade and I broke up a while ago." I turned to him automatically.

"What?"

"I broke up with her a long time ago. She cheated on me with Karkat, but I didn't really care that much because... well, I was using her to get to you."

"You WHAT?!" I glared at him. He raised his arms up in defence.

"Just hear me out. I wanted to make you jealous because I've always liked you but you never seemed to look at me in any other way than a friend and so, I know it's bad but, I used Jade so I could make you jealous. And it looks like it worked."

"You asshole! How could you do that to her?! How could you do that to me?! You could have just asked me out or even asked how I felt!"

"Well now I know how you feel about me." He smirked.

"Right now Strider, I feel nothing but anger."

"I'm sorry (Y/n)."

"You idiot! Why should I forgive you?!"

"Because I'm your boyfriend." He cocked an eyebrow.

"Says who?!" I growled. He let out a small laugh.

"Says these eyes that stare into mine," I felt his hand slowly cover my eyes. His small breaths moved down my neck towards my ears.

"these ears that cherish the sound of my voice," he whispered into my ear making me shiver. Why am I not pushing him away? Damn Strider.

"the shivers that go down your spine," Holy hell this is actually really hot. Did someone turn the temperature up in here or is it just me?

"and these lips that can't deny wanting mine." I didn't even realize when I started panting. He uncovered my eyes and I slowly opened them, our eyes meeting once again, leaving me breathless.

"Having trouble breathing?" He smirked.

"S-shut up."

"Make me."

That was it. That was my breaking point. I pulled the collar of his shirt bringing his lips onto mine. He immediately melted into the kiss. Our bodies were flush against each other. He slid his hand into mine, wrapping our fingers together. Lack of air kicked in too soon and he pulled away from me. Both of us were left gasping for air, yet we wanted to continue.

"D-Dave—" before I could say anything else, he had pushed his lips onto mine again, his tongue managing to reach mine. I let out a soft moan. I felt his lips spread into a momentary grin before he began to violate my mouth.

"Da—" I tried to call out to him to stop but he wouldn't let me. My mind was going blank.

Finally he pulled away, both of our breaths short and light.

"I love you (Y/n)." Dave had a slight blush on his face as he said that. I sighed.

"I love you too, you insufferable prick." He finally got off me and held out his hand to help me up. Once I got on my feet, before I could even turn around, Dave lifted me up bridal-style, making me squeal in surprise.

"I'm not done with you yet (Y/n)."

"What?" He began walking towards his room.

"I'm going to make you mine. Right now." I turned bright red.

"L-Like hell you will! We have homework! A-And I'm still mad at you! Dave! Dave!!"
