This is my character application for The-Arhzung-Tribes ! Whew, finally finished it!!

Name: Gabisela (Zulu - "confident one") Oyelowo (Yoruba - "the title has respect")
Nickname(s): Gabby, Sela, "Mum" (in jest)
Age: 43
Gender: Female
Race: Zebra
Tribe: Zebra
Height: 5'9" - 175 cm (not counting her mohawk)
Weight: 130 lbs - 59 kg
Eye color: Appears black, but is actually very dark brown.
Appearance: Very thin and wiry with low body fat. Built like a long-distance runner. Very beautiful when she smiles, but rarely ever does. Her manner of dress is relatively minimalist compared to the decor of the rest of the tribe. No time for fussing over her appearance, although she does stay tidy. Her hairstyle and color are natural, although she does shave the sides to improve her mohawk.
Weapon: Not accustomed to carrying anything larger than a small useful knife, or sometimes a light wooden javelin for when she's out in the bush.

Personality: Quiet and stern, although it masks a caring center. Very patient, unless it comes to people who are willfully ignorant or slow to listen, then she pulls out her lecturing voice. Extremely sharp and generally only speaks when necessary. But genuinely wants to see the best from people and help out the tribe whenever possible. Has no interest in romance.

Likes: Solitary walks, sun, spicy food
Dislikes: Laziness, meat (vegetarian), rain/humidity/water in general

Background: Gabisela was raised in a distant plains tribe, but moved to the Arhzung Zebra tribe after marrying her late husband (an arranged marriage, which her parents hoped would quell her combative spirit). They maintained several years of peaceful but generally passionless marriage before her husband was killed in an accident while scouting. After his death, Gabisela took up her husband's job and keeps a close watch on the Zebra tribe, which has become like her family. She never had any children, so they are her children in her eyes. She can often be found scoping out the surrounding area for threats or resources, or teaching survival skills to the younger generations. She is a harsh teacher, but she knows her lessons will benefit her students someday.
