Tensions revolving around Skydas’s murderous prisoner went unnoticed, or rather, ignored by the youth were it did not really concern him. Winter was nearly upon the whole of the island now, rain and the constant swirling clouds were now a common sight to behold in slate grey and dulling greenery of the plants and grasses. Finn had set out along the frigid shoreline near the Cliffs to hunt and yet his antics did not go unnoticed by the local wildlife. A brightly colored bird for which he was named swooped down upon the wolf, letting out a sharp cry before flying away.

Finn was familiar most creatures of the island. Deer, rabbits, seagulls... all he himself had interacted with at one point or another. However, strange as it may seem, he had never gotten close to the brightly colored birds of the cliff sides until one grey, dreary day. He'd been traversing the flattened grasses of the shoreline, eyes roaming from the sea to his path when all of a sudden a brightly beaked puffin swooped very close to the wolf. He'd been startled, whirling around just in time to get a good look at it before if flew out of his reach.
