"They looked down at us, wide curious eyes twinkling as if they were smiling. We weren't sure how to respond, and I will admit, I felt flutters of anxiety in the pit of my stomach. What were they, these curious creatures from outer space? Were they friendly, and looking at us with the love of a child? Were they predators gazing at a new source of prey? We weren't sure, and it appeared, neither were they."
