Description
I experimented with his appearance in an effort to make him look a little more like how he does in his portrait, and also to make him look generally better. The hair was fun.

Just a little bit of trivia, ol' Hatchy's face is modeled on the EC Comics character The Old Witch, host of Haunt of Fear Comics. Some of you may remember her for constantly trying to steal the Cryptkeeper's spotlight on Tales from the Cryptkeeper.

Yes, I did read your comment. I always read the comments, even if I don't respond or if sometimes the response is delayed. In regards to your question, "Can you make a Gravity Falls crossover?": if the inspiration ever strikes me (as it might, since I do enjoy Gravity Falls), I could. If you were pitching an art request, then I'm afraid I don't take requests; at the very least not currently. Perhaps when I feel less occupied by my personal life and my own art, I'll announce it.

Indeed he was, and still is. There's currently a portrait of him hanging in the Corridor of Doors (the part with the door knockers and demon-eyed wallpaper).

As in Phantom Manor (in Disneyland Paris)? If so, then he's not there. In that attraction, it's the malicious Phantom who takes the role as the host who "welcomes" mortal visitors and the corpse hanging above is intended to be Melanie Ravenswood's (the bride's) groom, who the Phantom murdered himself. The character I drew here is only featured in the U.S. Haunted Mansion attractions. Phantom Manor follows a storyline of its own.

No I meant the US one. I thought I saw him in the ride at some point in a video of the ride. It still feels like the Phantom is Melanie's dad since it is said her dad died in a mining accident and returned to keep her from ever leaving or ever getting married (Thats what it is like for all the rides.) So basically he came back and hanged the groom. ANYWHO back on subject.. Yes I know he is hanging in the rafters in the Attic, but I think sometime later on they should add his ghost to the US HM rides (If he isn't already there.) It would be cool to see how they make his ghostyness look and it would be fun to see if you can find him. Yes I know Melanie and not being able to find his ghost it still would be cool, and its kind of sad she can't go into any rooms except her own, hallways, and the ballroom. It's sad if you think about it. I wonder if the groom at some point will find her in another story....
