I had this vision of this stoic figure standing in a field that swayed back and forth, gracefully with the breeze in a state of tranquility. It was an image that fleshed out into this piece so fluidly, and I thought it would be perfect to experiment a little with double-exposure. It's what spurred me to try negative watercolouring, a technique that I've seen here and there, but never really bothered to try out as it seemed quite time consuming. Aaaand boy, was it worth it.
Surprisingly, it was actually quite therapeutic and relaxing to do negative watercolouring, and the outcome effect paid off! Of course, it wouldn't be complete with blush metallic

yes!!!!!!! mETALLIC INKS! Except on this, It's a texture overlayed on the metallic parts. Metallic doesn't show up well on a scanner

Well most of the time when I use Metallic blue its in a paint, that I mix my self. The Metallics I get come in shades of gray so its quite easy to add an different color to the lightest one.

Ohhhh, damn I gotta give that a crack! I've been mixing my silver ink with some rose gold acrylic to get that pinkish grey metallic effect, shuld probably try it with blue!

Yes! metallics don't show up well on scanners, and scanners tend to wash pictures out, so i edit them in PS

YES! That's negative watercolouring! It's just the process of painting the reverse of what you would typically, to create or define a shape/form.
