My watercolour work tends to be so dark and gloomy, so I tried to brighten it up a bit and make it more alive and colorful... Yet it still ended up having that subtle dark and sombreness to it... I tried.
I feel like I'm definitely becoming a lot more free and loose with my watercolour paintings. I've progressed from painting completely in lines, to being able to paint purely and expressively with complete freedom, and that excites me a little. I want to continue exploring watercolours and other traditional media too, maybe even incorporating inks and charcoal.

This is absolutely gorgeous, as always. And you don't have to try to force happiness into a piece because you think it's what we want to see; just paint whatever comes naturally. Everything you create is beautiful anyways.
