Description Madomean didn't remember her parents. When she was found, she was lying asleep with an feather-arrow soaked in neurotoxin. After a while, she found out that this feather belonged to her relative, but who exactly couldn't find out. The feather was sharp at both ends. It was white with a blue circle in the middle. Madomean believed that this feather belonged to her mother. However, she could not understand why she was left alone? These thoughts tormented her soul for a long time.

Wait, a feather that is sharp at both ends, with a blue circle in the middle? Could this be Kelta'an?
Beautiful piece!

Wow    You're very perceptive. No one has ever thought of that yet. At least nobody has written about it. Yes, you are absolutely right. This feather actually belonged to her brother. He put her to sleep.

Your comment was very surprising to me. I didn't think anyone was following the story of my characters, especially since I'm only giving a small part of the story here. Thank you. It really warmed my soul.

I've been following you here ever since 2013, I really loved your fantasy world and characters and inspired to design some of my own. Your story is so interesting, I just can't get enough of it. ♥
I'm glad my comment surprised you in a good way, haha, I didn't expect it to. You're one of my main artistic inspirations.

I'm very glad to hear that my work inspires you.

By the way, I noticed this a long time ago. I hope I'm not confused, but I think I've seen the character's reference sheet on your icon. Her name is Etain, or at least that was her name before? I thought he was inspired by mine, but I didn't say anything about it.    When I started making my characters, I was also inspired by the art of other artists and felt very close to it. But I wanted to create something of my own.  The main thing is to learn and try to bring something new and I saw that you tried to do it. Plagiarism is bad, but when an artist tries to create something new by gathering the experience of others it is good. It allows you to move on.  I hope that this experience has helped you in your work.

I'm surprised that people still remember my old work. XD
But no, the character itself had whole other influences. I was heavily inspired by a set of artists like AGloriousComeback and Syvaender and several others, but I never ever copied anyone's artwork. Much less yours. As much as I love it, it never suited my style and I never aimed to copy it.

What I intended to say in the previous comment was that your work kept me going and motivated me to learn more as an artist. I've always been put down by others when it came to my art and seeing other people's work kept me going. I am very sorry to hear you got the wrong idea from my work.

Going back to my character, Etain's design changed a lot in time and the past years have brought drastic changes following changes in my perosnal life and personality. It morphed into a more realistic look for the character. That reference sheet you probably remember was the one from 2015. I've never made another one after that. I was very unhappy with how it came out and I toyed with different designs to get it stray further and further away from AGloriousComeback's characters with which I thought it looked too much alike. I think I managed to do that in the end.
Something I'm still not happy with is my inability to choose a satisfactory color pallete for my characters and thus why Etain remained black and white. XD

The point I was trying to make is that I find it laughable that the two character have even been compared to one another. You do have a point in principle that I strongly agree with, but while the old design was indeed inspired by other artists' style, it's in no way related to yours as it (as I mentioned before) was never the look I was aiming for in the first place.

Oh. I thought it was because of the patterns on her body.  Maybe you misunderstood my comment. This is most likely a language barrier problem. Google translator does not translate everything correctly, and I am not a native English speaker, so I can't correct errors if they are present. Anyway, I didn't mean anything wrong.

Not all people react adequately to beginners, often mocking them. I think many people have gone through this. They don't understand that everything started from somewhere and there are no people who can start it at once, it's a very time-consuming process that takes years of life or even a lifetime. The important thing is not to give up.

If you're still in the process of creating your character, maybe what helped me once will help you. The choice of color was quite obvious to me. I like ice, cold, snow, winter. Most of the time, it's white and blue. I love them. They are light, sublime.  They are the basis of the character. That is, they are the colors I love. Try to use the ones you like and maybe add others to them that will fit together well. Unless of course there is a need for that.

As for the shape of my character. I love owls, snow leopards and of course dragons. That's why the feathered dragons are very much in my soul. By creating my character, I have united all these animals, taking a little bit of each one. And his pattern imitates Gzhel. This is the Russian folk painting of ceramics, which I like very much and has the same colors.

All this I want to say is that try to do what you like and perhaps then you will get the best result for yourself, which will be very close to you.

Sorry as well if I might've sounded too aggressive, that was not my intent. Thank you for your help and advice, I'm definitetly working towards improving myself and my characters. As I said before, your dedication keeps me going as an artist and I'm looking forward to your future works!

My next art is already in process and it will be quite large and complex. I wish you progress in your work, too. ^^
