Thank you! I've painted new eye textures to match the ones from the ref pic. The body is by far not as exaggerated as the original, but I think she has huge-everything.

Was the thick line which traces the outskirts of the figure part of the rendering process, or did you add it in post?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ken1171 In reply to MiniGendo [2011-08-29 05:00:32 +0000 UTC]

It was added in postwork. Poser is terrible with outlines, it would never work.

Do you save your magnets as morphs ever? I'd like to get my hands on some of your figures!

ken1171 In reply to DarksealStudios [2011-08-29 04:59:33 +0000 UTC]

Hmm, I don't know how to save all the magnets into a single pose, because poses don't save the magnets. I just create a whole new body every time, and that's a good thing because it makes every character unique. Saving the whole thing as a FBM doesn't work because the magnets would have to be named very specifically for each body part, but that's not how I am doing things here. It just creates a dial that has no effect, since it's not finding the child controls with the expected names. I also tried exporting the reshaped bodies to OBJ to use as a morph target, but Poser zeroes the modifications before exporting, and the whole thing fails. The only thing I didn't try yet is to spawn a prop to create the morph target, but that risks Poser welding the entire figure into a single mesh, which couldn't be used as a morph targets because the number of vertexes would be smaller. -___-

Actually you almost have it... but if you are using v4 there is a script for that.... SpawnCharacter p6 is what it's called...

But if you dont want to python it out you can save, do not select as morph target... and you have to check off 2 of the options... internal names and groups... but NOT the other 2 sub groups of keep names spaces.... I forget the names of stuff, I need to have it open to tell you the exact lingo.

Just make sure the figure was still at 0 pose and xyz location and the only changes done were the magnets.

But the python script will make the inj/rem files for you with v4 or m4, so I would go that route. You just make all the changes you want to the characters dials and save it as a FBM.

Hmm, but I use magnets will any figures, not just V4/M4. My last post (a minute ago) was with Melody, which is an Aiko3 spinoff. I also did it with Stephanie3 and Vicky3. Magnets are better than morphs because they are figure-independent.

Adorei cara!

A pose deu trabalho. ^^

Ive always wondered. Do magnets auto-shape the clothes too?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ken1171 In reply to SherbertTCat [2011-08-28 19:06:51 +0000 UTC]

Well, it's not "automatic", but it can be used for that with some copy & paste. And the advantage is that magnets can be moved and scaled to fit anything to anything, as opposed to morphs, which can only shape a single form.
