Hanging from the branches and lowering its muzzle down, the serpent is motionless waiting for its thermoreceptors on the muzzle, which are sometimes mistaken for eyes, to react to the approaching warm-blooded prey. Then the plagdorus reveals its swift speed. Thanks to its serrated edges on the plasti segments, it easily clings to any roughness, thereby developing great speed. Plagdorus are notorious for stalking until they catch their prey, but that doesn't mean they can't be run from.
