Description
I wanted to do some expression work with Mavtien- over time it started to move more into a slight realistic take on his features. Which is alright since these were done to study certain characteristics of his!So many ways to draw angry expressions~

I love Mavtien's face! So ruggedly detailed and perfectly conveying any expression you give it! I'm trying to append a voice to all this. Is there a close facsimile that you've chosen as Mavtien's voice?

As for the voice question: I actually do have a pretty solid example of how he sound when he's singing, but as for talking- I (for some reason) always imagine him talking like a mixture of: [link] and [link]

These are fantastic! I love the bottom four for the angles and expressions!
You give you're character's such wacky and over exaggerated expressions X3~ (and I say that as a good thing). However it makes me wonder how their jaws and skulls get positioned~ They must look awesome too!
And yes I know its a bit of bizarre topic to bring up lol.

Not to bizarre! I Just don't really know how to answer it since I actually use, more or less, average human skulls when I map out how to draw faces and such- I just choose to exaggerate certain features. I figure the bottom jaw must do weird things though- like unhinge itself to manage half the weird expressions I stick on character's faces.

it be pretty cool if perhaps you drew you're characters doing crazy expressions and then trying to draw their skulls doing the same thing XD

that first row is very funny what is odd( base on what I see) is the lighting of the character, from grey to peach and in between, I may be guessing it help effect to character expression.

You'd be correct! I shifted between warm colours and cool colours to accentuate certain expressions!
