Its so damned cold right now, that its actaully dangerous to be outside. I almost froze my toes and fingers off, taking this pic. Photographing is an extreme sport these days.Related content

In my opinion this is a very beautiful landscape photograph. It's something special, something you don't see everyday. The composition is very nice and leads the eye directly to the sun in the midle. I really like the foreground with the snow-covered rocks and the seaweed. The mist over the sea with the mountains in the background give the whole image a mystic feel. Finally, the orange sky perfectly contrasts with the snow in the foreground and adds some warmth to the picture. I also like the vignetting effect in the upper part of the sky (or was the sky really that dark ?). The sun that sets (or rises ? ) behind the mountains is slightly overexposed and lets the snow on the stones appear greyish. But that's only a minor point of criticism because I know how difficult it is to expose everything correctly in situations like this one. All in all I think that you succeeded very well in depicting the atmosphere of this magical moment. Definitely a photo that deserves more attention.
