Well here’s picture 3 of 8 for ‘s AFL 3. Here Kenpudio is forced to do battle with his pal Silver Spectre, who is been possessed by Jhon Ghost. The two (or three if you double the possessed) battle it out in the artic wastelands. Jhon/Spectre breaks off two large icicles and leaps at Kenpudio for the kill. In the picture we see Kenpudio dodging Jhon/Spectre, can Kenpudio defeat a possessed friend?I’ll admit that this is my weakest entry so far. I’m not 100% happy on how it turned out. This was just one of those drawings that I wasn’t getting a good vibe from the pencil stage. My composition of the two characters just doesn’t feel like an attack is happening. Oh well, there’s 5 more of these to go still. Besides my own personal issues with the drawing, ‘s character Jhon Ghost can only fight while possessing another body, so this gave me the excuse to draw my friend ‘s character Silver Spectre. I just have a feeling we won’t be doing battle with one another this AFL so this gave me a chance to a least draw some kind of conflict with Spectre. Okay enough of my yammering. This was drawn and inked on marker paper, colored up in Photoshop CS4, and the background was done using Bryce 6.1.

Spectre looks a bit too big compared to Ken...
The scene isn´t as dynamic as the other two, but still looks good. Doesn´t Spectre feel cold? Oo

Kenpudio is good as always and I have been waiting to see how a skilled artist could draw that well dressed gentleman Silver Spectre. This is realy quality.

Its a great drawing with colours man. silver spectre looks ace here, and a clever way to just draw anyone as jhon ghost. i think kenpudio needs a fashion consultant though...that bright purple and green snow clothes is soooo1980. hehe

Hmm. Well, if you really want someone to bitch, I suppose the icicles on top are a bit funky, and I think Spec's bent leg should be in front, but it's still good. Better than half of us AFLers can do, at the very LEAST.

Thanks. Spectre's leg and the icicles are definitely some of my problems here. The icicles were very last minute, I felt that I need to show the source of Spectre/Jhon's weapons. Oh well...

Maybe if they were attached to a cave ceiling, they'ed be better. But you kinda put them at a uniform length across the top. Makes it look like a photo that got them added for fun instead of actually being there with depth.

The drawing is not weak Kenpudio, not at all. It looks like a still shot from an action movie or something, it's so cool!! I may not know that much about your opponent, but the arctic wastelands is a good arena to fight, lots of crazy weather to make the fight better. 
Most pencils always give off a bad vibe, well most of mine do and once they're finished they look fantastic! I mean most of my stuff starts out as stick figures. Then sketchy lines and finally outlines and color. But that's me. You're a wonderful artist!!

Thank you! Yeah, it was just one of those things. I was just having an 'off day' when I was working on it. I drew 3 different versions of the picture, and did about 6 different renderings for my background. I think in the end I just lost interest in the picture after awhile. Anywho, thanks for the support, I appreciate it!

I know how you feel about losing interest, that's happened to any great artist (though I'm not a great artist by any means, I'm still learning).

You may not consider yourself a great artist but just by looking at your gallery I can see great progression in style and technique from you first post to your most recent. And that's pretty great to me.

i think it looks like an attack but its like those epic still shots you see in the American comic movie like superman. there's like the pause and the camera moves around and then it starts again.

Maybe you should have had them do extreme snowboarding while fightng, with ninjas. Ninjas make everything better.

Funny thing, I actually was thinking of doing a snowboard type thing originally. But I was lazy and just said "Let them just fight." Yeah...ninjas....snow ninjas...One day maybe.

This is freakin awesome! The Spectre's pose is kick-ass, as well as the little touches of Jhon Ghost (the tie symbol and tattered coat) I also like that Jhon is only using the Spectre's physical body, and not his host of powers, gives a lot more plausibility to the possession thing! I don't feel the drawing is weak at all! Good show! Now I have to find an excuse to put Kenpudio in a fight of mine...

Oh wow! Jhon Ghost is the perfect opponant in many ways since you can use him to fight anyone you want and what a great choice. Silver Spectre is a sweet character and he looks awesome here. Diggin his John Ghost tie too.
