It must have taken so much time and patience to draw/paint this, which I say because of the twining snakes and...the fact that they are what they are. Seriously. Drawing snakes and round things takes A LONG time to get right because of all the curves. Plus, it's in watercolour which is very hard(At least for me) to work with.
I really adore the colours themselves, the soft greys and browns. It all looks so alive and in an odd way vibrant-too adjectives which seem oxymorons to the picture itself.
Alive because of the movement, the fluidity. Vibrant for virtually the same reasons. YOu have very unique and beautiful artwork. Every piece is unquestionably different from every other one.
Great work.

first off...thank you ever so much for such a thoughtful comment.

Actually, this went very quickly -- I think I had sketched it out and inked it in about an hour, and then painted in in another hour and all to one band's playlist to keep the mood fluent.

I find that if I take time to paint, I'll let my technical side get ahead of me and it won't be what I think of as real art so much as a kind of flawless, forced-emotion illustration like what everyone here seems to try to achive.

But thank you again. Hearing something like that really means a lot to me.

I agree that that's often the standard around here, they want something immaculate as opposed to something full of feeling. It's not very good to think that way but I'm by no means innocent.
That's probably what attracts me so much to your work-this picture specifically, all of the feeling in it.
I really admire that you can pour your heart into your work and create something so beautiful. It's even more impressive now that you've told me that than it was before.
And, you're welcome for the comment!

That piano is crazy... it has a mind of its own! Very imaginative

My favorite part on this is the snake's tail curling around his hat...

::slithers to your drawing:: ooo. Love it. I think the whole bones doing stuff, in this case playing a piano is just too cool. I like how weird and supernatural this pic has.

You drew, and it didn't turn out like a kid trying to draw a roast turkey.
