Description
This is a series of "Version #1" designs for at least some of the main cast gods who will appear in DuatStories. These are not final designs, they are subject to change any time! I thought it a good idea to try and make full designs right of the bat, to have a better grasp and understanding on the characters.

Thoth
As the son of Atum, the God of Life, Thoth was among the first living beings, even though he had spent most of the known world's forming in a deep slumber. He is the God of Knowledge, Wisdom, Magic and Sciences, the rational side of humanity.
Thoth, although born at the same time as Ra, had always willingly placed himself one step under his brother, serving as a support, advisor, overseer and scribe. He had always believed that his calling is to serve the throne, but never sit upon it. Due to his role and age, Thoth had been the tutor of nearly every god that was born after them, helped them discover their powers and abilities. As such, he is viewed by many as an almost second father figure, beloved and respected. Thoth is very good with children, effortlessly switching between strict and gentle when it is needed. His patience is nigh-endless and one can always rely on his willingness to teach others and share knowledge or discoveries.
While he is much calmer and more collected than Ra, Thoth shares a big flaw with his brother: he too is absolutely terrible at sharing his problems and his feelings with others. As a key figure in the administration, he had come to rely on only himself, and aims to keep others out of his troubles. When he faces an inner crisis, he'd rather bury himself in work, than confronting it head-on. Despite being a wise god, Thoth is also full of regret and doubt that gnaw at him on his worse days... especially that one terrible mistake that eventually cost him the cherished and sorely needed bond with his brother. Now, Thoth is utterly terrified of Ra and prefers to stay away from him as much as possible.
Despite his fragile look, Thoth is among the strongest gods in existence. While Ra's style is flashy, brutal and in-your-face, Thoth uses spells, wards, stealth and sneaking around. Being the ace card and final line of defense for the rightful pharaoh, Thoth can be perhaps the most ruthless, relentless god out there, as the body guard and assassin of the king.

I failed miserably with drawing baboons, so that is left out for now...
