So, the other week I found a Tiger Swallowtail Butterfly (I think that's what it's called . . . at 3 AM I don't trust my brain . . . ) and I thought to myself, "Man! I wish I could raise butterflies!!" and then I saw your journal entry the other week and thought, "OH MY GOSH!!! I SO WANT TO DO THAT!!" and yeah that monarch is gorgeous!! Do you just let them go after they leave their pupa's? LOVE that Monarch's colors!!

brilliant!!! i love it. normally all i see is photos of them fluttering about but this is much cooler. not to say i don't like the fluttering... nothing like a good flutter...

omg!! i did the exact same thing!! except i found the baby caterpillar in the field in my back yard and i would always gather milkweed
it's a male, BTW. the black spots on his lower wings show that.
