yeh been good thanks, busy at home and not had allot of time to spend on the camera but not to worry hopefully get some some time soon to get back out and about. It was a great meet really enjoyed it only a few turned up but had a good time wondering around chatting and and having a laugh which was the main thing. Maybe you can get to the next one bring ur girlfriend with you you never know she might even get into photography unless she already is lol

Hi Steve, I have to go with the others...this is the better of the two shots. You've framed it perfectly, the DOF is right on for clarity and the picture just flows all over the frame, moving the eye around but never out of the pic.

Thanks George. Yes I like the DOF now in this one. I wasn't sure in the beginning but its grown on me. Hope your well.

You're welcome Steve, yes I'm fine. Have you been trying to shoot with a tripod, this will help clear up the "fuzzy"shots you were talking about.I use mine constantly.

Yes George, bought myself a new tripod a while back and a shutter release cable which has helped allot. These shots were taken using a 10stop filter which I have been playing around with. Quite expensive I thought but worth it certainly enables me to get out more during the day and play around a bit.

Janie-G [2009-07-15 20:10:09 +0000 UTC]

I like this one best because of the sense of distance in the composition. Those swirling patterns in the sand lead the eye from the rock towards the tide line and then to the horizon and the sky. I think that gives more of an atmosphere of isolation. It's a super picture.
