May's NMM, featuring Discord and Chrysalis.

So...I have this head canon.
I just had the impression that Chrysalis and Discord may have somehow influenced Luna into her Nightmare Moon-ness.
Well, I guess if you think about it:
Discord and NMM had opinions that Equestria should be different from how it was. Chrysalis and NMM wanted something they knew wouldn't be granted to them unless they used force.
Long story short, the three of them wanted to destroy/overthrow/ humiliate Celestia. And Discord and Chrysalis, after their supposed first-attempt failures, sought something else to fulfill their desires/needs. They noticed how frustrated Luna was with her whole night and day issue.
Now before someone goes off on me, I have a theory that Discord's BODY was only confined in stone. He's basically the soul of Chaos. Souls can't be trapped in material.
Chrysalis took care of Luna's sisterly love for Celestia, almost nearly depleting it if it weren't for The Elements of Harmony.
Fueled on Jealousy, Entitlement, heartlessness, and some magic help, Nightmare Moon existed.
Once Celestia was overthrown, Discord and Chrysalis could begin their own reign of terror. They would get rid of Luna, and then eventually try to do away with one another.

That plan failed be cause they didn't count of the Mane six.

So, now Chrysalis and Discord work separately to achieve their goals.

So yeah.
