Description
For those of you who have seen the Lego Movie 2, I'm sure I'm not the first person to connect the song Not Evil with Chrysalis. It's sung by another shape-shifting monarch, and as soon as I saw it in the cinema I wanted to make an animatic. I never got very far with it, just some sketches for the first few lines of the song, but it's pretty cool anyway. From Jan 2020.If you want to listen to the song and imagine how it would have gone, the parts for the mane 6 i planned out are below:
Queen Whatevra - Chrysalis
Wyldstyle - Twilight
Batman - Rarity (Chrysalis will offer to give her half of everything - "everything everything? everything everything")
Benny - Applejack (the spaceships Whatevra offers would have been apples - "Applejack, do you like apples? 'Cause I think they are great." "How'd you know that? Loving apples is my one defining trait!" )
Metalbeard - Rainbow Dash (Dash would adore her own pirate ship)
Unikitty - Pinkie, obviously
Background choir - dancing changelings a la the hyenas in Be Prepared
Poor old Fluttershy didn't get a singing role - i was going to have her trapped in a cage or something, swinging wildly from side to side as the changelings danced.
