OK, so this is really my first colored pencil work of this sort. I've done more simmple pieces, bits of colored pencil here and there in others, but never something like this. It was intimidating to take on, but I'm pleased with the result... i guess...

I know it's not great... but I think for my first serious piece it's not bad in the sense.

I would love to credit `zemotion for her incredible photo and I would also like to credit ~romonimo for the idea of what colors to use. His piece came out beautifully, way better than mine! I wasn't sure what colors to use, and then I came across his and studied the colors he used and tried to incorperate similar ones into my own work.

~Strathmore Brand 360 Bristol with Vellum 8.5 x 11

**So, since this is my first colored pencil, I would REALLY love some TIPS because I was so lost while I was doing it. I'm actually really am interested in learning more about working with colored pencils REALISTICALLY and if someone could give me a few pointers, that would be excellent. I'm really looking for the opinion of someone who works really well with the medium and is really expierenced with them. Of course, all other opinions are welcome as well! Thanks (:

And sorry about my scanner, it just sucks. (: Sometimes I play around with the screen to get a good look at it or stepping back from the computer, if that helps anyone see the image any better. I tried taking pictures but it just kept losing it's color. Ugh.

As always, FAVS, CRITIQUES, COMMENTS, etc. are appreciated. Again, I would really like some TIPS please (:
