Description
This is Jaepheth, pilot of the Campaine. He's my new OC. Not sure if I'll write out his story yet or not, but he's definitely got one.
Oh, and that thing on the side of his head is a port. It allows him to be plugged directly into the Campaine's Ship Brain, so that he can communicate with it. Jaepheth HATES having it on his head.

Damn, that's definitely a very interesting OC design, you've got some serious imagination! I've also noticed that you're enjoying drawing dudes with white hair which is definitely a plus from me since I know how hard it is

White hair has gotten soooo much easier since I figured out my new method!
The veins around the port are because A: I wanted to really make it look like a part of his head, hehe, and that was the only solution I found that really worked.
And B: His body really doesn't like the port and actually tries to reject it all the time. He'll need constant medical treatment on it for the rest of his life to keep his body from rejecting it. Sadly, it can never be removed.

Yes, actually. I have a lot of trouble with anatomy, mostly the neck and hands.
I usually use my brother as a model for me because he has such sharp features but I don't have him with me all the time...

Oh, you are sooooo lucky to have a male to model for you though. I tend to alter off my own features a lot...which lead to a lot of crooked noses for a while, hehe. Grrr, stupid horse that broke my nose when I was little (Was my sister's horse and she was a fruit loop.

No, you can definitely use your own hands for things, you just need to learn to alter off them. Another trick is to take a picture of your brother's hands (like with your cell?) and then work from that. That's what I do for facial expressions and the like, take a snapshot and then work from that, and alter them to suit the features and bone structure of the character I'm working on.

His hair took me FOREVER, hehe. Short hair is sooo many layers to get it to look right.
Yeah, the veins around the port...I had to do something to make the port look like it was attached to him, and was messing around shading that area and accidentally created a vein, and it just looked...well, it made it work, so even though I think they are a bit creepy, I added them all around it.
