Seerlin WayfinderSeerlin is a Guard, a Guide, a Hired Sword, who makes his living taking caravans, merchants and travelers through some of the more difficult routes through the Permanent Gates (Parts of the Infinity Gate that Lord Arren's Great, Great Grandfather set up to facilitate trade between the colonies. They lead only one way, are a little unstable, and some of them now lead to worlds that are no longer inhabited, but they allow people to travel between the dimensions without one of the Arren family being there to open the gate for them.)
This is Seerlin as himself, not playing any parts.

I based the texture of Seerlin's hair on a couple of my friends with blonde hair. I liked the idea that his hair is rather whispy and fine.

Heeee! Thanks! I clearly have a thing for full lips, but I really took it to the extreme with this guy, because of the character I wanted to give him. Even covered in scars, he counts on that face to fool people.

He was an interesting creation. I did a portrait of him from straight on, and his character was coming to me, and it was so interesting, then the drawing crashed and burned HARD. It's so fail (you can see it, I uploaded it to my scraps). But I'd already created the character, and he was perfect for my story. So I decided to do two more portraits of him, in profile, one from each side, so you can see all his scars, and I could show his two different sides (personalitywise) as well.

I haven't written the story yet, I'm working on creating the characters, and figuring out the "world" and how everything works. It's really quite complicated, because it involves many different parallel universes/dimensions/versions of Earth. I've got two characters left I have to create, though more may come to me along the way. You can see them all in my "Infinity Gate" folder.
He doesn't have a split personality, just a persona he takes on. He deals with merchants all the time, and plenty of people think to get the better of him. He holds true to his honor, in that if he says he will get someone safely through the Gates, then he will do it, even at the cost of himself, but that said, he's going to make damn sure he gets paid for it. So he plays the "blonde" the innocent dumb thug, without a thought in his head, completely guileless. And he's very, very good at playing that part, very believable. But it's just a part. He's actually very cunning and intelligent. Thus I did two portraits of him. One with his "game" face on, and one without. This one is the one without. Wayfinder show's the face he displays to those canny Merchants.

Heeee! I KNOW I plumped those lips out to near explosion, but it just went with his character. He plays the dumb blonde like nobodies business (He was based a teeny bit on my best friend actually), but he's actually very sly, devious, and intelligent.

Ooh, another character, yay! He's got a more manly look than previous characters...maybe it's that nose, but he's got very lovely and serene eyes that lend him beauty. He's got a super cool job, what a great character idea

I worked soooo hard on making that nose...kinda a little heavier, without giving it my trademark bridge, hehe. I wanted something different, and yes, more manly. I toned it down on his second portrait though, not on purpose so much, more just because it didn't look right, hehe.

Well you have so many OCs, it's good to differentiate between them with something other than their scars and hair color, so I like that you change their noses a bit (although I'm sure it's difficult to not give them all your ideal hawk-nose!)

I actually work hard to make their face structure different, the shape of their chins, the shape and set of their mouths (I know, I know, they all have full lips, but they all have DIFFERENT full lips, hehe), and even the shape of their eyes, the set of their eyebrows. Unfortunately, my style tends to make them all look pretty similar, even when I'm trying so hard to make them all look different. *sigh*
