Description Bard Heifin Nelfeen

So, the first of my good guys in the Infinity Gate series. Hei is on his Song quest. The final trial he must face before becoming an official bard among his people.

Yes...he as a big nose...that's on purpose. *grin*

(So I wanted to draw something OTHER than one of the AT or gifts I'm working on, to test how well I could draw, before messing up an important drawing. I sketched this guy, and then got really intrigued with him part way through shading, and started writing his character in my head. Unfortunately my hand kept me from working at the speed I normally do, so I didn't get anything besides him fully finished, though I did a lot of work on my AT's).

Eiblin In reply to Kessira26 [2011-12-27 18:22:04 +0000 UTC]

Really. That can be a problem because my story is in slovak language(I´m from Slovakia) and I think my english isn´t too good for writing my story in this language. I´m so sorry for this but I don´t have self- confidence to translating it.
But I promise when I get self- confidence to translate my story, I post it here.

Ah, that's a bummer, but understandable. Are you going to post it here in Slovak (Is that what the language is called, sorry, I'm so ignorant)?

Thanks for understanding me. I don´t know in this moment. Maybe once I post it here in Slovak. But I think the Google translator is not good. That English is worse than my.

This is true! Not that I'm going to complain too much, because it's nice to have any translator at all. I wish I could read more languages. I'd love to be able to communicate better/more freely with more of my friends here.

I wish to comunicate better with people here... But my problem in comunication is my fear. When I read a book or watch film in English I understand. But when I must talking (and writing of corse ) I´m very nervous and my mind is blocked. And I don´t know to find words...I´m ashamed for this...

Well, I hope you feel free to chat with me anytime! I'm happy to make a new friend, and I don't mind explaining things again, if I make no sense. You've had quite lovely English so far, very understandable, so please I hope you don't worry about it over much.

Don´t worry, I don´t afraid of you. This comunictaion is a good training for me. I´m happy to make new friend too. Whole my life I wish that I know drawing like you...I write stories but I want to ilustrate them too...Maybe in the future...And maybe not because I don´t have abilities for drawing.
Oh, thank you for that! You make me happy. But I think I speak like Winnetou.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Kessira26 In reply to Eiblin [2011-12-28 15:31:30 +0000 UTC]

Yay! A new friend!

You know, I couldn't draw like this before. I could draw horses, and maybe mountains and tree's but that was it. I couldn't draw people at all. I'd tried, and they looked beyond terrible. I started learning the Manga style in March, and progressed from there, and then tried some realism with Humans (Horses are easier) then adopted my own semi-realism style. It was a dream of mine, just like you, to be able to illustrate my own stories, and I honestly never imagined it would be possible. If you had shown me one of these drawings this time last year, I would have thought it an impossible dream, and certainly nothing I could do...

All that to say, don't think it's impossible, don't assume you can't do it. Who knows what you might be capable of.

Winnetou?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Eiblin In reply to Kessira26 [2011-12-28 19:44:42 +0000 UTC]

In my opinion your Humans are good. I hope that you understand what I want to say with this sentence.
Yes, your horses are better than your people, but it´s just a training.
Manga style! I love it! My better than best friend draws Manga style too and his pictures are famous.
Thaks for your trust in my abilities! I believe that one time my dreams come true and I´ll draw a beautiful picture of my bard.
With Winnetou I mean Indian. In Slovak we have a phrase: He/She speaks like Winnetou. It´s mean that person speaks on this mode: Hi, I be brother Winnetou, You be brother Old Shatterhand. And I same speak English...

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Kessira26 In reply to Eiblin [2011-12-28 19:57:47 +0000 UTC]

Well, and I've spent my whole life around horses. I've spent lots of time hands on with them, so I really understand their structure. You'd think I would understand humans the same way, but I really don't. I've never exactly had lots of opportunity to get hands on with super pretty boys, hehe (They always run away when they see me coming, such a shame).

Really? Might I recognize your friends work? Sounds amazing!

Ah...I had to look up Winnetou. Now I get it! D'oh! I'd never heard that term before.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Eiblin In reply to Kessira26 [2011-12-28 21:53:09 +0000 UTC]

Do you have your own horse? Or it´s just a hobby?
Heh, I´ve a same problem with super pretty boys as you. But I don´t know why? I think it´s because they are overmuch selfish and bigheaded...I don´t say that is the rule, but my know- hows says something different.
Really. His pictures are amazing! I don´t know, but I ask him. He´s really really good. He draw a very beautiful portrait of Magneto for me. And he needs just one hour for it.
Oh, come on. You just joking with me, isn´t you? I believe you know who´s Winnetou.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Kessira26 In reply to Eiblin [2011-12-28 21:58:26 +0000 UTC]

I do own my own horse. Her name is Fritha. She's a Percheron cross, and a big girl! Hehe.

Wow, really? I'd love the see the Magneto portrait! Magneto is awesome!

I had NEVER heard of Winnetou, no joke. I've heard that style of speaking of course, on really old Western movies and such, and as a joke, but never heard of Winnetou.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Eiblin In reply to Kessira26 [2011-12-28 23:06:22 +0000 UTC]

Wow, she must be beautiful. One of my friend has a horse too and he´s a big, really big boy. His name is Nemo (I know, it´s a strange name for a horse ). He´s a Slovak race called Slovenský teplokrvník. Amazing horse race.
Agreed, Magneto is awesome. But in my opinion just Magneto who´s played by Michael Fassbender.
It´s OK, I believe you. My apologize that I think you´re joking. But you know, I was a little bit suprised. At our place (I mean in Slovakia) all of the people know who is Winnetou.
Yeah, old Western movies are experts in that style of speaking.

That's my mare.

Ah, Nemo is a cute name for a horse. I think I've seen that breed in horse books, but I don't remember much about them. I'll have to look them up again.

Oh yes, Magneto played by Michael Fassbender *drool* Actually, just Michael Fassbender, hehe. He's so gorgeous! But he made a completely awesome Magneto...wait...is that the version of Magneto that your friend did and if so, Oh please, Oh please will you share?

No worries, I wasn't offended at all. I thought it was cute you were so surprised. Looks like from looking it up, that Winnetou was by a famous German Author. Doesn't look like something that ever made it's way over to my area of the States though. Either that, or it did, and I'm just oblivious, hehe.

It´s true, he´s so gergous. Yes, is that the version of Magneto that my friend did it. Hmmm...I know he has an account on Deviantart too, but the picture of Erik isn´t there. But my better than best friend promise me that he posted him on "wall". My friend´s nickname is Bonta.
Ufff, thanks, I actually worried. And it´s really OK that you never heard of Winnetou because me to don´t know anything.

Name of my bard´s horse, in my story of course, is Lacertus- for short Lace.
Here it is- a link: [link] I hope that you like his pictures. I told him about you- my new friend from United States.

I did a second portrait of The Bard, what do you think? I kinda changed his look a bit.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Eiblin In reply to Kessira26 [2012-01-03 22:12:46 +0000 UTC]

Oh, I´m so sorry for that I now say, but in my opinion the first portrait is better... The second is good too, but for me the first is a number one. The bard on first picture is mysterious, charismatic and so sexy! But on second picture, in my opinion of course, he´s just a good looking guy. But it´s a good job too.
What do you say to my own preciuous Magneto?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Kessira26 In reply to Eiblin [2012-01-03 22:19:59 +0000 UTC]

I liked him better in the first portrait too, but I couldn't draw him that way again. It was so frustrating. My Muse sometimes has idea's of it's own.

That Magneto is amazing!

Eiblin In reply to Kessira26 [2012-01-04 14:06:57 +0000 UTC]

Why? Why it was frustrating? I don´t understand because I think it´s a good work. Really good work.
Oh, thank you. I think too he´s amazing!
My better than best friend now drawing for me my Magic Bard (it´s not his name, but my other friend says he is magical and starting write about him as about Magic Bard )and his girlfriend. I can´t wait to see them on picture.

Kessira26 In reply to Eiblin [2012-01-04 15:19:25 +0000 UTC]

Ah no, it was the way I structured his face in that first portrait, I couldn't draw him from a different angle, and have him look right. I tried twice, but the result just didn't work. So I changed the bridge of his nose, and the shape of his cheek bones a bit, so that he would translate better at another angle. Not a lot, I just gave him slightly more masculine cheekbones, but it made all the difference. Suddenly his character worked from a different angle, and I was able to draw him again. Now if I can just do a third drawing of him, and have it be consistent, I'll be happy.

Oh, that is such exciting news that your friend is drawing for you!! I can't wait to see it!

Eiblin In reply to Kessira26 [2012-01-04 17:10:37 +0000 UTC]

Oh, you´re so critical to yourself. Stop it! You know what I thinking about your pictures. I know writing stories (and yes, my friends say that my stories are good - but I don´t think the same as my friends...but it´s a long story why not )but I don´t know draw...And for that reason I have one special person- my better than best friend. And he make me happy and drawing for me. Oh, you know that Magneto is also especialy for me. And don´t worry you´ll see them too.

Kessira26 In reply to Eiblin [2012-01-04 17:19:22 +0000 UTC]

Well, yes, I'm hyper critical of myself, but I think sometimes you need to be to improve. Not that sometimes I don't need to be smacked around and told to stop it (figuratively of course), but being able to see the faults, and what I need to work on...that's vital for me. What's frustrating is when I CAN'T see what's wrong. Then I really need help.

I wish I could read your story! I'm guessing you are a wonderful writer!

There is something so wonderful and precious about having art that a friend made you. One of the really lovely things I've been able to do since my roommate is leaving, is that I can hang all the art my DA friends have made for me on the walls in my house, and use it as decoration. It's all really precious to me.

I am very excited to see what your friend draws, and get a glimpse of your characters! *happy*

Don´t worry about that. I´m like you. Me too can´t see what´s wrong in my story. My apologize for the virtual kick in "Stop it" form, but I don´t like when good people say about yourself bad words...I know, my fault, because I´m the same person.

Really? Hmmm...maybe once...I still writing and thinking about them and their adventures...

He´s a wonderful person and I love him so much. And me like you decorate my bedroom with his pictures.
Are you studying on University? I mean...I don´t want to be hungry for informations, but you write here about roommate...It´s just for because I studying on University and I live at home...

Thank you, it´s a compliment to me that you want know them.

No worries about being curious. I don't mind answering questions, though the answers might surprise you, hehe. I figure, we are making friends, right? It's all good.

I'm not in Uni, no. I'm actually a good deal older than that. Was living with a roommate after the end of my rather disastrous marriage. I've got a kiddo too. He's six. I occasionally feel like the old fart around here.

How about you? Are you in Uni?

Don´t worry, I don´t change myself. Not just yet. Maybe in the future but I think no. I love my dreams because they makes me. My dreams and I, we´re the same. Do you really think that about us- dreamers? It´s amazing. Lot of people who I know thinks that I´m freaky. They doesn´t see any treasure in people like me...

Kessira26 In reply to Eiblin [2012-01-10 17:18:49 +0000 UTC]

Ah, I'm more than a bit of a dreamer myself, and at this point in my life, I look back and wish I hadn't tried so hard to bury that part of myself. It's better to be your self, even if people don't properly appreciate that. There will be some that do, and...well, trying to be other than your true self, it won't lead to happiness. I'm not saying don't be practical as well, but don't try and change that spirit.

Eiblin In reply to Kessira26 [2012-01-10 21:45:33 +0000 UTC]

Sometimes I look back too and in that time I wish change some things in my life...but it´s not possible. Maybe it´s the reason of my dreaming...Who knows that?
You said it very nice. I am who I am. And If some people have problem with me I ask: "Why you chat with me if you don´t want?" Unfortunately some of them aren´t quick to understand.
Don´t worry, I am practical when I must be...But it´s not me or not totally me. Sometimes I am childish (not more but it´s in me) and lot of people don´t love that. And I don´t love it too.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Kessira26 In reply to Eiblin [2012-01-11 16:06:22 +0000 UTC]

You know, I think everyone has childish moments. That's human nature. I've been told I come across as younger than my age, and I think that can be a good and a bad thing. It's good to be young at heart, and have a youthful outlook still. However, I know lots of people who never grew up in a not so fun fashion. Men in particular that never matured past being boys, and have no intention of doing so.

I think sometimes people confuse those two things. They think if a person is young at heart, or spirit, that they must also be immature, and that is not true. The two are not mutually exclusive at all. Just as you can be a dreamer, and yet still attend to practicalities. I guess the problem is, some people are NOT capable of being both, or doing both, so they assume no one is.

Oh, thanx for your words. You made me happy
because I had fear that my childish moments
are abnormal or strange. Last week I bought
pink T- shirt with Dalmatian dog from movie
101 Dalmatians and yesterday my girl best friend
asked me how old I am that I wearing childs T- shirt.
But I don´t know why? I love my T- shirt with my "puppy".
What do you think about this situation?

Oh, it´s whole me! I´m young in my heart and
in my soul too. Ok, ok, I am 26 and I´m young.
But sometimes I know be very crazy and not at all practically.
For my luck major of my time I thinking very practically.
I think that I have many personalities in my head and heart and soul...in whole my body. Actually I´m not a schizophrenic!

BTW, I have one question again. What time is in your home
in this moment? I mean when you answer me. Thnak you.
(My sister asked me this. She´s very curious.) I my home
we have 10:00 pm in this moment.
