Ah, that's a bummer, but understandable. Are you going to post it here in Slovak (Is that what the language is called, sorry, I'm so ignorant)?

This is true! Not that I'm going to complain too much, because it's nice to have any translator at all. I wish I could read more languages. I'd love to be able to communicate better/more freely with more of my friends here.

Well, I hope you feel free to chat with me anytime! I'm happy to make a new friend, and I don't mind explaining things again, if I make no sense. You've had quite lovely English so far, very understandable, so please I hope you don't worry about it over much.

Yay! A new friend!
You know, I couldn't draw like this before. I could draw horses, and maybe mountains and tree's but that was it. I couldn't draw people at all. I'd tried, and they looked beyond terrible. I started learning the Manga style in March, and progressed from there, and then tried some realism with Humans (Horses are easier) then adopted my own semi-realism style. It was a dream of mine, just like you, to be able to illustrate my own stories, and I honestly never imagined it would be possible. If you had shown me one of these drawings this time last year, I would have thought it an impossible dream, and certainly nothing I could do...
All that to say, don't think it's impossible, don't assume you can't do it. Who knows what you might be capable of.
Winnetou?

Well, and I've spent my whole life around horses. I've spent lots of time hands on with them, so I really understand their structure. You'd think I would understand humans the same way, but I really don't. I've never exactly had lots of opportunity to get hands on with super pretty boys, hehe (They always run away when they see me coming, such a shame).
Really? Might I recognize your friends work? Sounds amazing!
Ah...I had to look up Winnetou. Now I get it! D'oh! I'd never heard that term before.

I do own my own horse. Her name is Fritha. She's a Percheron cross, and a big girl! Hehe.
Wow, really? I'd love the see the Magneto portrait! Magneto is awesome!
I had NEVER heard of Winnetou, no joke. I've heard that style of speaking of course, on really old Western movies and such, and as a joke, but never heard of Winnetou.

That's my mare.
Ah, Nemo is a cute name for a horse. I think I've seen that breed in horse books, but I don't remember much about them. I'll have to look them up again.
Oh yes, Magneto played by Michael Fassbender *drool* Actually, just Michael Fassbender, hehe. He's so gorgeous! But he made a completely awesome Magneto...wait...is that the version of Magneto that your friend did and if so, Oh please, Oh please will you share?
No worries, I wasn't offended at all. I thought it was cute you were so surprised. Looks like from looking it up, that Winnetou was by a famous German Author. Doesn't look like something that ever made it's way over to my area of the States though. Either that, or it did, and I'm just oblivious, hehe.

Well, yes, that is the first association, but it still makes a cute horse name.
I'd love to look up your friends art. Do you have a link?

I did a second portrait of The Bard, what do you think? I kinda changed his look a bit.

I liked him better in the first portrait too, but I couldn't draw him that way again. It was so frustrating. My Muse sometimes has idea's of it's own.
That Magneto is amazing!

Ah no, it was the way I structured his face in that first portrait, I couldn't draw him from a different angle, and have him look right. I tried twice, but the result just didn't work. So I changed the bridge of his nose, and the shape of his cheek bones a bit, so that he would translate better at another angle. Not a lot, I just gave him slightly more masculine cheekbones, but it made all the difference. Suddenly his character worked from a different angle, and I was able to draw him again. Now if I can just do a third drawing of him, and have it be consistent, I'll be happy.
Oh, that is such exciting news that your friend is drawing for you!! I can't wait to see it!

Well, yes, I'm hyper critical of myself, but I think sometimes you need to be to improve. Not that sometimes I don't need to be smacked around and told to stop it (figuratively of course), but being able to see the faults, and what I need to work on...that's vital for me. What's frustrating is when I CAN'T see what's wrong. Then I really need help.
I wish I could read your story! I'm guessing you are a wonderful writer!
There is something so wonderful and precious about having art that a friend made you. One of the really lovely things I've been able to do since my roommate is leaving, is that I can hang all the art my DA friends have made for me on the walls in my house, and use it as decoration. It's all really precious to me.
I am very excited to see what your friend draws, and get a glimpse of your characters! *happy*

I drew a portrait of my son, here [link] His name is Tristan.
It's lovely that you want to do that. It's so good to know what you want, and work towards achieving it!

Yes, Isolde is such a beautiful name.
You can ask whatever question you want. *grin* I'll answer. I'm a Leo, though I fit it about as well as a rabbit in sneakers. The description is soooo not me.

Don't! Don't change yourself. You are lovely just as you are! I don't believe there is anything wrong with being such a person. I think it is special and wonderful and something we should treasure in others.

Don´t worry, I don´t change myself. Not just yet. Maybe in the future but I think no. I love my dreams because they makes me. My dreams and I, we´re the same. Do you really think that about us- dreamers? It´s amazing. Lot of people who I know thinks that I´m freaky. They doesn´t see any treasure in people like me...

Ah, I'm more than a bit of a dreamer myself, and at this point in my life, I look back and wish I hadn't tried so hard to bury that part of myself. It's better to be your self, even if people don't properly appreciate that. There will be some that do, and...well, trying to be other than your true self, it won't lead to happiness. I'm not saying don't be practical as well, but don't try and change that spirit.

Sometimes I look back too and in that time I wish change some things in my life...but it´s not possible. Maybe it´s the reason of my dreaming...Who knows that?
You said it very nice. I am who I am. And If some people have problem with me I ask: "Why you chat with me if you don´t want?" Unfortunately some of them aren´t quick to understand.
Don´t worry, I am practical when I must be...But it´s not me or not totally me. Sometimes I am childish (not more but it´s in me) and lot of people don´t love that. And I don´t love it too.

Kessira26 In reply to Eiblin [2012-01-11 16:06:22 +0000 UTC]
You know, I think everyone has childish moments. That's human nature. I've been told I come across as younger than my age, and I think that can be a good and a bad thing. It's good to be young at heart, and have a youthful outlook still. However, I know lots of people who never grew up in a not so fun fashion. Men in particular that never matured past being boys, and have no intention of doing so.
I think sometimes people confuse those two things. They think if a person is young at heart, or spirit, that they must also be immature, and that is not true. The two are not mutually exclusive at all. Just as you can be a dreamer, and yet still attend to practicalities. I guess the problem is, some people are NOT capable of being both, or doing both, so they assume no one is.
