Sigh.So, my family visited for the holidays and my brother Ben and his wife Sarah were absolutely disgusted by my rats.
They thought they were creepy and filthy and evil, even my little baby Noel (the rat in the pic).
I'll have everyone know that my rats are really sweet. They want to spend time with me. They get excited whenever I'm around them. They lick me. They frolic around happily when I let them out, and they run over to me when I enter a room they're in when they're out. They are very loving, sweet, CLEAN little animals.
She doesn't look evil to me....
She's a dumbo dalmation rat.

awh! how could you hate something like that! I hate it when my moms friends come over and see my rats and theyre like UGHHHHH RATS KEEP IT AWAY FROM ME! and its like ;^; why you not want to shnuggle them? theyre so nice and they just want attention!? and it bugs me so much -sigh-

One day I hope I get a dalmation or a dumbo. You are soo lucky to have that all rolled into one rat. I also hate it when I just can't change the opionons of someone when they see my rats. I just can't belive people don't like rats even when they get to know them!

I don't understand how anyone can find rats or mice disgusting, in particular if they are clean, healthy pets and haven't stuck their little noses into any unknown rubbish. But even in that case I can't help finding them cute!

Haha I have 4 female rats myself and they make the GREATEST pets ever. :3 I work at a pet store and all the rats we have get spoiled by me :3 Whenever someone comes in asking for opinions on what's the best small animal pet gets the answer, "A rat". Cuz they are the best. ^^
I actually reallly dislike hamsters, as they bite often...and gerbils are okay but they are no where near as affectionate or intelligent. Idk what I'd do without my 4 ratties =]
I lovee the dalmation coloring of yours. I have 2 dumbos, a tan w/ a white belly and a black w/ a white belly and 2 fancys, a black with a lil white and a blue-gray hooded with the hood extending in a stripe all the way down her back to her rump. Never had a dalmation, though. They don't seem to appear too often round here.

I know, I had someone come up to me at school after seeing a picture of my pet mice and he said they were ugly!!! Who in their right mind insults someone else's pet.

People who rejects pet rats just because of stupid middleage prejudices don't know what they're missing. She's really sweet! Those markings looks kinda ferret-like.

pet rats are fine, cute fluff balls ... now speak as some one whos seen a swarm of Brown Rat ... they are not friendly creature, and i can totaly understand people fearing them

I know, but the same can be said for wild cats and dogs. they're mangy and they carry disease. But domestic cats, dogs, and rats are different than feral animals!

Awwww, what a sweet face! I don't understand the anti-rat feelings either, they're just like big clever mice, aren't they?

LOL yes you run into the balls problem with lots of male animals. But male rats are so sweet.
They are like giant clever mice, who are much less likely to take a dump on you.

Yeah, I tend to run into the same problem with people thinking my boys are gross. I find that most people are turned off by the tail, and I guess they think perceived gross tail = gross animal? I can't figure it out, rats are probably one of the coolest critters around
