damn, damn, damn I did not expect. This is the first time I get the daily deviations. thank you all who have supported, my work will hopefully work better

I apologize for not being clear enough and polite enough with my criticism. I would like to make myself clearer by saying yes, I do think this is cute. I just feel that a lot more thought & time could have gone into this before sharing it. & it still isn't too late to try that out
In conclusion I'd like to tell you that this did in fact inspire me to give this type of work a shot and to see what I can come up with. [link] This is my first attempt of it & I featured your artwork along with it.
I hope you keep going & try experimenting. It can be a great cure when you're bored or have hit a mental brick wall.

I like this. I think it's funny and cute. Strangely enough, this reminds me of the Medicine Seller in Mononoke.
And I have a comment for all the haters who keep saying "This doesn't deserve a DD. There are better artists/artwork out there."

Then start recommending DD's. Anyone can do it. If you feel someone out there is better, why not do something about it?
Complaining on the artist's page does nothing. It's not critiquing, which is what these comments are REALLY supposed to be for. Unless it's constructive (what you like, what you didn't like, how they could improve, etc), the folks hating are really just doing pointless bitching. And yes, that makes you 'a big meanie'.
In short: LESS TALKING, MORE DOING. Instead of complaining about an artist you feel didn't 'deserve' a DD (as if they have any real control over this), recommend artists you feel do deserve them.
Otherwise, you're just talk.

We had an assignment in our Typography class to do "typefaces". This one is much simpler than those but I like it a lot still. It's nice : )

I like it because it's clever, clean, and the background has a lovely-but-slight texture to it. Also wonderful use of colour.

Everyone has a right to their opinion, but stop leaving your complaints on the artist's work when they had nothing to do with it. It's like you want them to feel bad.

Using a pun as the basis for a deviation that took all of 20 seconds to produce, from a subject so ubiquitous that is has saturated every facet of modern life already, with no impetus or validation whatsoever, barely adhering to the artistic constant for aestethics? Brilliant!
Never before could I have imagined that so little could be produced from so little, for so little, because of so little.
The word "art" has now been demarginalized--utterly, for me--because of works like this and other so called "daily deviations".

They didn't ask for a DD. They just posted something that they thought other people might like.
And people did. That's not a sin. It's not offensive. It's not rude.
So Why is it a bad thing?
If you don't appriciate a certian work or it's recognition as a DD, suck it up and move on. dA is a big place. You'll find art you appricate elsewhere.
