The funny thing is: There's a controversal in this girl. Germany is famous for his beer, especially a state in the south of the country called Bavaria. Her dress is for sure inspiriated by the traditional dress there. But St. Pauli is a part of the city of Hamburg which is far in the north. Of course they like beer too there, but it's not that they are as famous for it like Munich (capitol of Bavaria). You know, it's a bit like if someone in Europa mixes Alaska and Florida and produces something like "Anchorage Oranges".

/Rage start/
I just looked up what this "St. Pauli Girl" Beer is about... Seriously I'm german and I've been to Bremen (the city where this beer - according to the website - comes from) and I never saw or heard of that beer. More important, St. Pauli is a quarter of Hamburg... which lies about one and a half hours with the car to the east of Bremen and most important, women in north germany do not wear dirdles (that weird dress that this girl is wearing). Acctually, only in the very very south of germany - and only there - are dresses like these worn (in Bavaria).
/Rage end/
Am I know part of your "A-Team"?

Although my family didn't come from here, I was born, grew up and I am living in Germany and I am really proud of it. Sometimes you need some patience but if you look around carefully you'll find a lot of kind and funny people with which are laughing all the time. And if somebody doens't, I just make him laugh, it's that easy. You just have to learn how to deal with them.
And yeah, the people in St. Pauli are really fun-loving. I love the St. Pauli football club which recently entered the first league of the Bundesliga, because they have the best fans. They have some kind of rebel-like attitude and their "coat of arms" is some kind of pirate flag, a white skull on a black background.
And I'll admit, I've never drunk this St. Pauli beer. Dunno what is ought to be so special about it.

You know, when it comes to German beer associated with and brewed in St. Pauli (Hamburg's red-light-district), you just go with Astra. Good beer. Good. "St.Pauli Girl" isn't even directed at the German market.
Cheers!

Even here in St. Paul, Minnesota.... St. Pauli isn't the most popular.....though I did recognize her on sight be she is advertised pretty heavily around here.
You did a great job, really cool.

All of these are so cute! I love her hair. ^-^
I'm amused that, if under 21, the St. Pauli Girl website links you to a site that campaigns against underage drinking, even if one is not planning on drinking the beer.

I'm from Canada, and the beer I drink most has a stag on the label. I will concede only this: the St. Pauli Girl has a better rack!

I'll be honest, I originally picked it up because of the blonde German lady on the side of the six-pack.
Yuk! Yuk!

I've always wondered, where *that* prejudice comes from. Obviously not from my surroundings ^^ But my friends attest me, that I've only got an evil humor. >:-D
Beware Americans ^^

Which prejudice, the Germans-as-beer-drinkers, or that no German would drink this brand?
