Description The forth and final collected cover, same tools, acrylics, primsa pencils, and a little airbrush. Should have kept at the painting more after this one was finished--never really got back to this level.

Awesome to see a clear scan of this without the printing moire. Bet you could do even more amazing stuff now if you got into digital painting.

Although you'd probably want to stick to markers for your base line art, it is a lot faster and easier to do airbrush-style painting in Photoshop, since the masking is reduced to using a lasso tool instead of futzing with frisket/misket at every step. Ditto for cel-style cuts and flat color fills. Plus there's that "undo" button. As well, you can play with nifty texture effects like Richard Corben was doing in the mid-late '90s (that would compliment your style really well, I think).

Not the comic, which is where it all stemmed from. They added the different colors for the TV show to more easily distinguish them.

One would believe diving into an array of pointy objects to be a bad idea.

I'm silently laughing at the pose one Foot Ninja near the middle is making. He's sticking out his rear end like he's got disco fever. XD

I find it funny how the people complain on the people who complain on the headband thing. And how people canΒ΄t just shut up, make a general comment. That goes for both the wise-asses that knows about the red-headband thing and the people who prefer the Turtles with different headbands. I love love how people suck up to this guy.
Honestly I think the picture is cheap, I am not an art expert but it looks easy made, the angle seems off and you could have added some effort into the motion and emotion of them all.

Will i be burnt for not sucking up, I doubt the creator cares.

You do know he wasn't just the artist, but also the co-creator. Say what you want about the art(which I have no problem with), but give him props for helping invent the whole franchise.

J-foa In reply to uneek35 [2012-08-13 20:14:02 +0000 UTC]

I still say other artists did a better job then the original creator.
ThatΒ΄s just an opinion, same as the modern Transformers has a more appealing look then the older once. Taste is like the butt.. divided

I agree(the new CG animated show that hasn't even come out yet already has my favorite Turtle design), but Eastman's art is not bad in my opinion.
