Thank you....but it's not a manipulation. It's a technique I work on the print itself...there's no digital work.

Beautiful. I love the detail in the hair and how it comes out of the darkness. It's mystifying.
I love how the image is so "alive", it moves.

Tragedy and sorrow embrace everything now... Embrace? Crush! All the hearts are broken now, all the dreams are ashes now, why? Why must everything burn and crumble, end up in less than remains?
Abandon all hope, as Dante said, because everything is empty and sad, everything fades...
Fades...

i wonder if you are familiar with the works of Harry Thuillier sir. he was one of the few modern fellas to make platinum prints. which might interest you with your oilgraphs like. i think there is alot of similarity between you and him.

It's a shame that images of beautiful women are what gets all the attention on devart as this is a really lovely image with depth and mood that most will pass over.
Wonderful!

Hmm.
Depends on how you mean....
The deeper meaning of sacrifice often comes with just the willingness to do so....like with Abraham and Isaac. The blade often doesn't even need to fall. Out of the willingness to sacrifice the most precious thing in your life puts things in perspective. Out of the willingness comes something beautiful...
I'm rarely literal with these pieces....

Well....it's all just a metaphor that spilled out at 4AM.....
The story of Abraham at first horrified me too....until I really thought about it...
First...God knew Isaac would live and he would not allow it to happen. God had promised Abraham that his offspring would be so abundant that they would be nearly uncountable. So Abraham knew that somehow this would all work out.
Second...Abraham was called to a pretty hefty task. Father of all nations? That's a job that requires alot of faith. What greater act of faith than to go through with something unthinkable and knowing that somehow God would still let his kid live? It's that kind of faith that God needed to see.....and as we saw...it did all work out. If God is God and knows all things and wants the best for all people, then you'd trust him... that's what he looked for in Abraham. Of course that's what he's looking for in all of us I believe...
Ok...i think that's alot to dump onto one's plate in one writing...
thanks for taking all the time to share your thoughts.....always means alot to me...
