Description Back breaking work and fixes and airbrushing at total of approx 35 hours... -_- i'm tired...

This represents my hand, it is human hand which is humanoid mode and i love working with mechanical stuff that represented by the non-humanoid mode, i like it so much that it feels like my hand working non stop just like one of them XP

Wish me luck to showcase this on an exhibition.

Anyway... there's the final version of it, enjoy.

so hard? i saw the prints, and there were no overstanding paper for cluing (sorry, sentence looks ugly, because i'm not engish guy)
do you add paper for cluing by yourself?
last question: is the design made by you? in this case, can you please add these?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

KevKoe In reply to Horitsu [2012-04-11 16:43:36 +0000 UTC]

Ah yes, those glue flaps you mean? maybe i have to add them in the future, near future, i'm no english guy too XD. Sorry for the glue-part. It was always my bad habbit not to give a model one, i usually don't use them in making papercraft. And yes, this design is totally made by me (and helped by the software offcourse) i will add it, ASAP.

thank you very much ^^
and the design is gread, will there be more with this style?

KevKoe In reply to Horitsu [2012-04-12 10:11:16 +0000 UTC]

definitely, perhaps a more elaborate design will be applied to future project, possibly the MK II or in any other design.

This is amazing! How do you connect all the separate pieces? I mean, like the fingers to the core, and such. I'm sure I'll be able to figure out most of the building itself, I was just wondering how you put everything together.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

KevKoe In reply to chubbybunny5941 [2012-04-11 14:46:14 +0000 UTC]

Firstly i finish the core but do not attach the lower and upper main ring, then i continue making the first part of those fingers that connects to the main core and puts it in place, then i seal it by placing the upper ring of the main core in place. very simple, actually.

Congratulations for your model it inspire things and will move the world.

Just saw this on paperkraft.net man. This is extremely elaborate, how long did it take you to design (and build)?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

KevKoe In reply to Akayuki-Lucifel [2012-03-20 09:40:34 +0000 UTC]

Thank you it took me 3 days to design, 2 days to build, 3 other days to paint it using airbrush

Wow, that's impressive. I actually wanted to get into papercraft design sometime soon, but I don't really know where to start. Do you model it in a 3D program first or what?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

KevKoe In reply to SageVarq [2012-03-20 09:44:04 +0000 UTC]

Thank you very much . first thing you need to get start papercrafting is to understand the basic of 3D itself, starting with cube and other primitives, then you can start modifying them bit by bit, know their vertex limitations and triangulars. I modeled this thing in google sketchup, then export it into .3Ds format and import that .3Ds into pepakura and unfold it.
