Description
Inspired by videos and images of Supergirl's second season.Supergirl costume and props by TerryMcG, I just edited the textures.
Superman costume is Genesis GSuit with my own textures and Supersuit shaders. Cape by Terry McG, belt by Joequick (with my textures), boots by Rogue Pilot.

My only problem is that I think they only plan to have him for the 1st 2 eps after that nobody knows. At least it's better than seeing him in the shadows, or his boots on a table, or at a far distance.

The whole "we can't show Superman" issue really hurt Supergirl's first season, IMHO. I'm glad WB lifted the "Superman Ban". Kal is a important part of kara's life and it's hard to tell her story while hiding him.

I'm right there with you. I couldn't believe how stupid they were to actually ban certain elements from the various shows. It reminds me of Birds of Prey way back when. It's heavily influenced by Batman, but WB forbid, we can't actually have more than a snippet of him. Then Arrow has bans on which villains they can use even though again heavily influenced by Batman. I loved Harley being in their Suicide Squad. What killed me was that WB insisted the movies & TV shows were not tied together in any way, but then say that the TV shows can't use this person or that idea because the movies are going to use them. Let's not forget that both are DC based and if separated then why are they not allowed to do what they want?
I will NEVER understand why Superman had to be shadowed in the whole 1st season. Either he's there or he's not. I liked how they got to use Clark messaging Kara & such, but it was ridiculous not using him in the opening to the show at least.
Hopefully things will only get better now.

WB's policy really hurt the tv shows, specially Supergirl's. I believe the changes and the addition of Superman, Mon-El and Miss Martian can make the show more interesting. And I'm really curious to see their take on Superman, looks promising from what we saw in the previews.

I'll know here in about 30 minutes how the 1st ep of the new season on Supergirl goes. I'm looking forward to Superman as well & I can't wait to see Mon-El & Ms Martian too. Hopefully we'll get a ton of super surprises this season.
My wife knows nothing of DC comics. I keep telling her that Jonathan Kent is gonna be on the show & she keeps asking me if it's gonna be John Schneider. She doesn't have a clue about Mon-El & I wonder if they're gonna go the route of him being a "relative" of Kara's.

I already read two very positive reviews of the episode on two different comic sites. People loved Hoechlin as Superman and Clark.

I thought he did an excellent job. I really liked how the episode was done. I liked a lot about it. I did have some problems with a few things that didn't fit for me, but overall, I was happy. I have talked to 2 people, who didn't like Hoechlin as Superman. I asked why & pretty much got "he's not Christopher Reeve." Being the rude guy I am, I said that Mr. Reeve passed away & was unavailable to play the role. I think some people already have their mind made up.

I really liked the episode, it felt more like a super-hero show than the 1st season (too much romantic comedy for my tastes). And I really liked Clark/Superman. We had the mild-mannered reporter, "klutz Clark", the investigative reporter (the scenes with Lena Luthor were great). And their take on Superman was pretty good, a nice guy, but an experienced hero too. Not a naive boy-scout, neither a tormented anti-hero. Hoechlin did a great job too.
I'm looking forward to the second episode.

You hit the nail on the head there. The whole 1st season felt forced, but I read that they learned their lesson on that. Looks like they're coming out strong for this next one. Hopefully it'll just continue to improve, but unfortunately, I heard what's coming with Jimmy. Can't say that I like Jimmy season 2 yet. I've got my fingers crossed that they don't continue to force his character with bad writing.
