We've never spoken before, but in response to your comment, I felt that the least I could do was answer despite the fact that a few months have passed since you posted your comment.
Basically, in the United States, a lot of the coins have the words, "In God We Trust," engraved in a rather small font. In 1956, a law was passed in a Joint Resolution - which was approved by President Eisenhower - declaring that the words above were to be printed/engraved on almost every form of American currency. More or less, it was their way of honouring God, and declaring that despite the country's troubled times and early stages of development, they would get through it because they believed and valued God and His Word.
The thing is that over time, people have shunned God, allowing the country to fall into periodic stages of darkness. The United States has always been a country that has prided itself upon upholding and protecting civil rights and freedoms, but in that process they have lost sight of the One they allegedly placed their faith in, to begin with. I feel that is whatΒ kevron2001 Β was trying to convey in this picture, if that helps to clear things up a little.
