Ooooh, I like that very much. What kind of experiences have you had with transfer work?

thanks! I've had mixed experiences with it, hit or miss. Gotta be ready for it to come out not perfect. Unfortunately I'm working with an inkjet printer, not a laser jet, so that changes the success rate significantly.
I like transfers though. Even if they come out weird they're fun to fiddle with. I have another one I'm about to call done that the transfer didn't come out well. I'll post it here.

I'd really like to see that.
Have been thinking of using that technique with my students: Scanning, printing and transfering their own drawings to makebthem fearless in regard of retouching/ovepainting their base works.
Have you tried something like that?

I have a little bit! And I should probably try again some day. Maybe soon.
It's fun to do, and I completely understand that kind of fear. The most valuable lesson I was taught with art is that nothing is precious. You can't be afraid of destroying what you've done to even see if you make it better.
Besides, making weird mistakes has led me to find new little effects and the like! I find this method can be a fun way to make multiples and play with different color schemes and techniques and materials. It's rather liberating.
It reminds me of making layer in photoshop somewhat.
I like this mixing of watercolor and varnish so I added it to another transfer I m fiddling with. It'll probably be up here soon.

Please put them up. I'd be very interested in seeing variations of a similar theme.

This is still really cool, even if the scan doesn't do it for you. It looks almost like a tattoo.
