Description

So I wanted a small animation for my stream, so people could tell me if its frozen, so I made this. Djala, hanging out, and eating a snack at some point.
This is my first actual animation, and I dont have any training, but I feel it went rather well!^^

Special thanks goes out to DingosTrash for all the feedback on this.

Djala is the character of Keali Bjørk.
Dlala is an azabu, my own species.

The cake is a lie,
the pie is a fake,

and that's why God gave us doughnuts =w=

Very cute and adorably animated; I like how you've animated her to 'wobble' even when idle, as this makes her more active/lively. The way the donut deforms also makes the animation style look more fluid and adorable. Well done, Keali

Aw thank you Tee!
I learned that the 'wobble' is apparently called 'boiling' which also kinda fits.^^
Yes I tried out a couple of smear frames around the donut part.
I appreciate that you took the time to let me know what you noticed in particular.

That was the word; Boiling ^^ I remember reading about that technique after watching a certain animated music video back then by one of my favourite music artists; Gigi D'Agostino.

I've tried smear frames and 'super-deforming' art styles to simplify and add some fluidity to my animations, but 'boiling' is something I noticed I could never bring myself to do for some odd reason, even though I do like its animated style and could see its effectiveness. Possibly because I cannot bring myself to deform the character's outlines appropriately enough to look consistent. ^^"

Honestly, I too was not so sure about the boiling effect. I probably will not use it all the time. It's better for certain types of animation. ^^
