Colaboration with the wonderful of this piece: [link] . She drew the pencils for me to colour, she's so sweet.
As soon as she has the sketch up, I'd pretty much printed it out and rushed over to my lightbox to finish it up! I still love these games like burning, and all the fangirling we do together.
Man, it's also been quite a while since I've used coffee as a medium. Always makes the art smell tasty. X3

that outline is MAGIC. seriously the colored line gives it so much warmth that is perfect for the image. lol Dax doesn't seem to be a fan of the heat though. xD my fav part of the whole pic might be Jak's pants and his arms. mmmm they're colored so nicely. everything is!

it's interesting that you're creeping back into the Jak fandom a bit, 'cos i just re-bought the first Jak n Daxter game (my friend still has my copy) and played it a few weeks ago! oh memories... fond ones. the mood was so light and fun back then.

How did you use coffee for the background? I'm thinking about using that technique but I don't know how. Is there anything else besides tea and coffee that can be used to stain the paper? Any help is much appreciated. Your art is truly great ^^

I just used instant coffee, made it (hot, to dissolve the ganuals) then brushed it over the paper with different sized brushes. :3
