Description
This is the next addition to the Vel Numbers: Clay Man.
Created for the Underground robot combat stadium, "The Gauntlet", Clay Man is made of a softer, cheaper version of Shape-memory alloy, the same alloy used by the Yellow Devil. He has a strong love for arts and crafts and despises anyone who questions or insults his artistic sense. On the other hand, he can be quite sympathetic and supportive to artists who never get recognized for their hard work and effort. When it comes to combat, he takes pride in making his battles as amazing as a work of art. Even going as far as to dedicate a painting or clay model based on the highlight of his recent victory or even his defeat.
Thanks to his body, he may shape-shift and morph himself into any weapon or anything he wants, but only as far as his total mass can allow. The same goes for when he elongates his limbs. He can also change his appearance to look like anybody he sees. The only downside is that he can't mimic their abilities or their voice, so this trick is mostly cosmetic. But that doesn't stop him from "acting" like them. He's an artist after all.
Using his "Grapple Clay", he stretches his arm and ensnare his victim in clay, leaving them immobilized while he goes in to assault. His victim will be free after struggling hard enough to break free or until he sustains enough damage. Since he’s made of clay, he is weak to fire. When exposed to heat, Clay Man’s body hardens, thus making him vulnerable. And for comedic effect, his body takes on an abstract appearance, since he hates abstract art.
Honestly, when I came up with Clay Man, he was loosely inspired by Klayman from “NeverHood”. Anyone who also played “Boombots” for the PS1 knows who and what I’m talking about.
In any case, that’s another RM of mine to make the list. ^^
