Cheesy name eh
My first real attempt at macro photography. The whole "bud" is the actualy flower. It's made of these little flowers that anyone will easily look past at first glance. The whole flower itself is quite small, maybe no bigger than my palm.If anyone's into horticulture, I'd appreciate it if you tell me the name of the flower so I can add it to my keywords.

I like the capture of the flower alot...interesting shapes and colors that are captured with a nice amount of detail and contrast. They also form a very nice diagonal composition that I find quite interesting, especially because they almost become an abrstract shape at first. The one weakness I see in this shot is the background. It is a bit distracing and doesn't compliment the flowers very nicely. Maybe taking the shot from a slightly different angle or adusting the photo after the fact, either in the dark room or photoshop, to make the background darker or blurrier or both might work to your advantage. That being said. Nice capture of a very interesting flower. If I may ask, what kind are they?

I have no idea what the flower is called, but the purple and orange together is a great combination.
