Description Victoria Street, Auckland, NZ.

I've been feeling so uninspired and unmotivated recently, in all areas of my life. Thus you see no name for this devaition.

My first deviation in 2 months and I hadn't touched my camera for maybe 6 weeks. Just an experimental shot. Heaps of stuff wrong with the image and I don't like it.

Strange coincidence but I remember seeing that tower at night from my hotel room in Auckland. Very good picture.

Well I don't think there's heaps of stuff wrong with it at all, photography is 'frame' of mind, excuse the pun. You've created here a feeling of motion not just a static night pic, glad to have encountered my first DA artist from NZ.....................

The motion blur is actually the result of a long exposure shot. Think of it this way, it's 15 seconds of shot captured into one frame. That's how that effect is created

I never knew Auckland was that populated

Or any city in New Zealand for that matter, mainly because I havent been there.


In North America they always portray New Zealand as real out in the wilderness with rolling hills and sheep.

Very Awesome lights, they are extremely pretty.

There's 4 million people in NZ; more than half of which are here in Auckland. Auckland is a pretty decent size city but obviously most tourists love the adventure places in NZ, such as Queenstown. If you think that picture shows a lot of people, you should pictures around midnight on Friday or Saturday nights. It's packed. Also, there are 2 major universities right in the middle of the city. So during orientation week every year, the city is jam packed. Its quite cool though. Very lively city

We always portray New Zealand as out in the country, farming, and lots of sheep.
I had no Idea it was that size.

That's about as populated as my province of British Columba (In Canada)
So Im guessing Auckland is about the same Size of Vancouver, Canada.

Yep. Check out *Aotearoa . It's NZ group. Heaps of people there. Plus, look through my older journal entries and you'll find it mentioned there as well. Auckland is a wonderful place Heaps of nice girls too

I disagree with your opinion. I like it: the lights are fantastic. I cannot stop admiring the tower and the street lights.

If only you had taken the picture positioning the tower a bit more near the center of the frame to avoid the distorsion it would have been a masterpiece. Anyway I would be pruod for a shot like your. Well done.
